Can we have a topic where name changing is not allowed?

Lots of people feel the 'atmosphere' has been somewhat lost, due to MN becoming so big and so many people name changing for dubious reasons.

So how about a new topic where name changing is not allowed?

So to post in that section, you choose a different name (much like in Mumsnet local). But you have to stick to that name only.

That way, in that section at least, there would be less arses/goady fuckers/Billy bullshitters and drama llamas, hiding behind name changes.

People will become 'regulars' again (in that section at least) and when you go there to chat, you'll at least 'recognise' other people.

OK I'm sure there are 1 million reasons why this is a stupid idea/impossible to set up, but can anyone think of them? Grin

Fat and scrapings from the fryer (or frying pan / roasting tin) thickend with flour to make a roux then diluted with potato / vegetable water is the only way to make gravy.

Many, many years ago (think early 1970's) I lived above a 24hr KFC.

Guess what I haven't eaten for about 40+ years?

Off to be dwith my book + cold.

This is a lovely thread - thank you all for such fun, serious discussion & randomness. Just what I want a general chat forum like Mn to be.

Flowers & Wine & [gaviscon] !

MaccyD breakfast in a wrap? Sacrilege.

Only Double Sausage & Egg McMuffin meal deals are allowed.

RustyBear, was it the library at the bottom of the hill in the Town? Zombie worked in the Village at that time.

Pernod and black for us magimedi - cos we were suffisticated.

Until the night I had a glassful knocked over my best black trousers and woke up with a) a hangover and b) what looked like the most impressive bruise in the world.

You are so going to be sick

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 22:09

I haven't had them for about 17 years but they were delicious. Honest.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 29/12/2015 22:09

7 matches in 7 countries culminating at Old Trafford I think.

He's got really really white teeth.

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 22:08

Weatherspoons chips with mint sauce & mayo squirted over. Delicious.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 22:07

Are you talking about the big brown flat thing?

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 22:07

Its crispy chicken, Worra that's all !

Very crispy. Made soggy by gravy. Is the gravy bisto ? Or is that a secret recipe too ?

Could I re-create it at home ?

OddSocksHighHeels · 29/12/2015 22:07

Breakfast wrap from Wetherspoons is better though. Mmmmm.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 22:06

What is David Beckham doing in this programme?

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 22:05

Vesta curry.

Up there with ready meals like chicken supreme or sweet n sour chicken.

Mmmmmnnn.

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 22:05

Odd I pulled out a big brown flat thing. Sausage apparently. Shock I still can't decide whether I like hash browns. It was a very confusing breakfast.

WorraLiberty · 29/12/2015 22:04

KFC gravy is made from the sludge at the bottom of the deep frier

They scrape all the chickeny bits together to make it.

Still didn't put me off though Grin

Oooh, I used to love a vesta curry.

I asked DS what's in KFC. He says even the employees aren't allowed to know Confused

OddSocksHighHeels · 29/12/2015 22:02

Oh I've had the Maccy D breakfast in a wrap. Quite nice.

Christinayangstwistedsista · 29/12/2015 22:01

i remember getting quite excited over a vesta curry growing up

Sparklingbrook · 29/12/2015 22:00

I had a Maccy D's dirty breakfast yesterday. In a wrap. Confused

MrsVamos · 29/12/2015 22:00

I don't think it would be, Sparks. A pop star is a bit too 'modern', perhaps ?

Don't want to know about nasty bits in kfc gravy.
