Hi all,

Since our "friend" Jeffrey appeared, we took the decision to turn off profiles to preserve any personal info and pictures.

We are now at a point where we would like to turn them back on and we thought that this was a good time to have a bit of a clear out and refresh.

We have decided to clear all profile information from Mumsnet (images will remain). If there is something you have written and would like to keep you have until Monday 16th to email [email protected] and will will keep that information for you, otherwise, all profiles will be wiped clean and can be filled in again after Tuesday 17th.

AHEM

Zombie has noticed this evening that she can again view public profiles. This is good.

HOWEVER

Can Zombie update and SAVE her profile settings? No. She cannot. This is not good.

She still gets the partial error message when she tries to SAVE.

NB: No ZombieCats™ were harmed in the making of this post.

Zombie has tried several times to fill in her profile again but it won't save.

It's a grey "save" button and doesn't ask for password confirmation of changes.

Could Tech have a look when they have a moment please?

Does that mean the pm's are going too? Happy for mumsnet to delete the rest of my profile but there are a few pm's I'd like to keep.

How do you save photos using an iPad? You don't get a right click, and if you tap on the pic, nothing happens. If you double-tap it just enlarges.

no please don't delete the photos! there's one i have lost the original for. is there a way to save it back to my computer?

Katy - on a windows computer you can either use the snipping tool or you can right click to save image as. Not sure how a mac would work though but suspect that there might be a version for doing this. Alternatively the print screen function? Won't be the best quality but would be better than nothing.

I'd say delete the lot too...pics and everything, and then it's a fresh start for everyone.

Just to confirm the photos are staying? There are some this is my only copy of - because a hard drive failed & I don't know how to download them Blush

Honey - is it even possible to delete profiles?

Also there are a good number who have lost their profiles whilst they are still active due to namechanging and not knowing to what name the profile is attached.

They are giving people the choice of keeping the profile rather than just sweeping the big broom of delete. You want to keep it, let HQ know and they have said they will keep it.
