Samsung galaxy S5 ad keep flashing up.

The Samsung galaxy S5 advert keeps opening and flashing up a huge phone pic. Thought I'd accidentally pressed on it the first few times but it's happened when my fingers are nowhere near the screen.
I'm on the S4 mini on the app.

Blinking "Insurance" has £150 excess as well... what sort of insurance is that?!

RowanMumsnet · 18/09/2014 12:37

@StripyBanana

That serves me right for complaining... I've lost my phone :(

Oh noooo!

I can still see it and it's is fucking irritating.

gamerchick · 17/09/2014 11:19

Heh it is still showing on this thread... like it's flicking the Vs Grin

goshdarnit · 17/09/2014 11:01

Thank you! Grin

monkeyfacegrace · 17/09/2014 10:51

Thanks Techie. Though ironically, the ad is currently showing above your message Grin

RichardTech · 17/09/2014 10:49

Thanks for reporting the Galaxy S5 "blue" ad. I can confirm that I have found and blocked the ad, but this can take sometime to fully take effect so you may still see the ad appearing across our site.

Thanks,
Rich

I have just swapped from the phone to the laptop specifically to come and moan about how utterly infuriating that advert is.
Please get rid of it, or I will not be using MN for a looooong while. Ta!

gamerchick · 17/09/2014 10:09

It is really annoying I agree. I understand the need for adverts but this is like somebody reaching out and clagging it to your face.

monkeyfacegrace · 17/09/2014 10:04

Mine is a Galaxy Note 2 using Chrome.

I am ready to throw the phone out the window.

It's BAAAAAAD.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 17/09/2014 09:56

Oh gosh, sorry about not having replied yet. We're on it now, many apologies, and will get back to you as soon as we hear from Tech.

Naicecuppatea · 17/09/2014 09:39

I get it too.

StripyBanana · 17/09/2014 09:38

Me too. Its driving me bonkers. On an s4 mini. It fills the whole screen and doesnt always click off straight away...

ChuckitintheBucket · 17/09/2014 09:34

Have MNHQ not replied to this yet. There is also another thread about this. I am on Samsung S3 mini android.

yougotafastcar · 16/09/2014 16:35

YoMrWhite · 16/09/2014 16:29

The exact same thing is happening to me - everytime I open a thread or go to the next page - infuriating! Using the mobile site on a galaxy s5 (ironic lol).

YoMrWhite · 16/09/2014 14:44

Me too. It's DRIVING ME INSANE!
