QUESTIONS ABOUT NEW LAYOUT THREAD

I need to be able to hide threads, and I like being able to see what new posts are on TIO in case someone's asked me a question.

Is there a way to hide threads? Or is this bit not working yet?

Oh, and another thing!
On the lovely old website, when you were on Threads I'm On, you could click on the Talk topic of each Thread You're On and navigate to that topic. Now it seems you can't? That's really annoying, too.

My standard practice was "go to TIO to see if there were any new/interesting posts, and from there, either click on a post or click on a topic". Now I can't do either.

I have found customise but it doesn't work to highlight OP posts!!! Killing me. Tell me this will get fixed dawnMumsnet ...

Have you figured out how to hide threads?
Or flip threads?

Is it going to be possible to hide and flip?

Or did MN just think removing half the site functionality would be a splendid idea?

Why not launch it tomorrow if that was when they could be around to fix it.

Sorry but this hasn't been organised well.

Can't even load up all of the "official" thread.

Even when you "fix" it, most of the things I hate about it will still be there.

Pleeeeeeease just write it off as a silly idea and give us back the old website.

Lego , I haven't got a down arrow at the top of my screen! Hate this!
Also, the 'go to page' box isn't working for me, whatever number I type in, it takes me to page 1!!!

Can't we just have the option to go back to the old one, this is HORRID!! ??

Anyone know how to 'show all posts' of a thread?

Just figured out how to start a thread and came back to see Southern's beaten me to it.

Interestingly not really if you're in Active convos and click on the down arrow icon thingy the add post option (that changes to add thread if you're in a topic but not on someone else's thread) does absolutely fuck all if you click it.

I really hope that the MN tech people hurry up and fix all the annoying things - starting with highlighting the posts properly!

I have downloaded the app and I hate that too.

In fact I hate it so much it's putting me off using MN, which is a shame as I love this site.

Ok, I've highlighted the OP's posts and it's made No. Bloody. Difference.

Oh, I'm sorry, I tell a lie. The OP's posts are now a fetching shade of off white. Really stands out against the white.

At the top of the page under the search etc icons and alongside > talk > site stuff (or whatever) is a down arrowhead in a circle icon which has customise and watch thread options (amongst other things).

No idea how you start a new thread though!

Oh yes, I don't seem to have a Start New Thread button, either! Where the chuff is it?

And where has the logo gone? I know it's not functionality but makes me wonder if its changing. Are we moving away from the woman brandishing a dildo?

And when I post,my screen just seems to freeze so I have to press the back button , go out of the thread to the menu, then back in. Confuuuuuused!

I'm going to post on this thread aswell, to show you how much I hate this.

I agree that we need the option to highlight op's posts properly.

And the blue bar thingy that moves down the thread a bit - what an annoying piece of crap that is! It might be useful if it scrolled down all the way with you, but it just scrolls down a little way, and then sits over a post so you can't read it.

And I have to refresh after I post in order to see my/subsequent posts.

And the buttons don't all load properly.

And Threads I'm On needs to show the recent posts.
