Problems with "Active" reverting to an older page

Littlefish · 28/06/2014 17:08

When I load Mumsnet I always click on "Active". As expected, this brings up the most recent page. However, if I click on a thread and then click on the "back button" to go back to Active, it loads a much older page/set of threads - sometimes from at least a day ago.

This is annoying to say the least and means that I have to keep re-clicking the "Active" tab at the top to reload the most recent version.

Any ideas?

I'm on a iPad using safari.

Using back now refreshes the active convos page. Grrrrr.

SilkandSteel · 01/07/2014 12:11

Mine was ok this morning but now doing the same thing as before - using 'back' button takes you back to page with threads dated 26 June. It's getting very annoying now as use back button automatically. iPad on Safari.

ApplebyMennym · 01/07/2014 11:25

No not working for me yet - still displaying random bits. I will keep checking!

PositiveAttitude · 01/07/2014 10:53

Hmm still not going back to the page I left. It is refreshing the active page, but I like to go back to where I was otherwise I miss some threads I wanted to have a look at and I repeatedly see others on the active page.

Littlefish · 30/06/2014 19:21

Brilliant. Thank you so much to the tech-team. I'll go off and check it.

Hi everyone,

Our ever-capable tech team have now fixed this, although it might take a day or so for some ISPs to catch up. In the meantime if you get sent to the wrong active page, hit refresh and it should go back to normal.

IDontDoIroning · 30/06/2014 07:38

I was getting this over the weekend on my iPhone

gastrognome · 30/06/2014 07:12

Glad to hear it's not just me (and am in Belgium so definitely not BT). Hope it'll be sorted soon.

LoveMyBoots · 30/06/2014 06:59

Having the same problem - not even just in Active (just happened in Site Stuff as well). Happens if I go beyond page one of threads with more than one page.

Using the mobile site and Safari on iPhone.

ApplebyMennym · 29/06/2014 21:03

Sorry bit late to this but I have sky and it is happening here too!

eddiemairswife · 29/06/2014 15:11

Whenever anything goes wrong I always think it's me or my computer, so I'm quite pleased to find this thread and realise that others are having the same problem.

blankenbaby · 29/06/2014 05:50

It's happening to me too on safari on iPad and I'm in Germany so not using bt.

DawnMumsnet · 28/06/2014 20:42

Right, it doesn't seem like this is a BT broadband problem, then.

(Which means it might take us a wee while longer to sort it out. Rats!)

Please bear with us. And in the meantime, you'd probably be better off avoiding the back arrow button and re-clicking on Active.

Sorry for the faff.Sad

PandaNot · 28/06/2014 20:32

Me too, using safari on phone connected to talktalk broadband.

3littlewomen · 28/06/2014 20:27

Tis even happening over here in Ireland - no BT, but we have EIRCOM!!!

fieldfare · 28/06/2014 20:25

Me too. Safari on iPad. Sky for both.

SpiffingGalore · 28/06/2014 20:23

Me too. Safari on iPhone 5. Virgin media and three, no bt.

AgentProvocateur · 28/06/2014 20:19

Virgin wifi and Vodafone 3G. Same problem on both

HairyMaclary · 28/06/2014 20:06

I'm having this issue both with virgin wifi and on O2 3G. I thought it was just my phone!

TheannamoLeelu · 28/06/2014 20:04

No wonder there are so many zombie threads being reactivated, I wondered what was going on!

lucidlady · 28/06/2014 20:02

I'm using wifi at home but EE outside

lucidlady · 28/06/2014 20:02

Also having this issue and my ISP is Virgin Media (I'm using safari on iphone)

Littlefish · 28/06/2014 19:58

BT phone line but EE is ISP.

Is that what you mean?

Back again!

We're just wondering if (slash hoping that) this could be a BT problem ...

Could we have a show of hands please if you're using BT to access the site?

Littlefish · 28/06/2014 19:12

Thanks Dawn. Enjoy the vino. Grin
