Slow site-loading times

Hello

We just wanted to say - many apologies for the slow page-loading times and/or connection problems that lots of you have been experiencing over the last few days.

We've had a look at server performance at our end and there have definitely been some periods when it's been very slow to respond.

We're on it and trying to work out a fix. Wine and/or Brew and/or Cake in the meantime - please bear with us.

Thank you

Not sure but site seems to be a lot better, maybe Its because its late and not many using site or they have sorted it out( fingers crossed )

AnyaKnowIt · 28/05/2014 19:08

Its really starting to piss me off

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 18:35

Yes, on the mobile site

AnyaKnowIt · 28/05/2014 18:24

I'm still getting security warnings, anyone else?

QueenYnci · 28/05/2014 17:55

Mine's been fine all weekend then today it's slowed right down, coming up with bad gateway, proxy server etc. Taking way too long to load or post on threads.

Chrome on laptop with ad-blocker fully on so that's not the problem.

LIZS · 28/05/2014 17:52

typically just sped up a bit 1

FruVikingessOla · 28/05/2014 17:52

It's awful.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/05/2014 17:51

We just went down for ages didnt we?

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 17:50

It is worse than ever ATM.

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/05/2014 17:49

This is silly now.
I've comfort eaten 2 bananas,2 apples and about 8 crackers while trying to get an insight into menstrual candles.

Can't get the other thread to load

mummylin2495 · 28/05/2014 16:58

There is a message from MNHQ on this other thread about this problem

here

AnyaKnowIt · 28/05/2014 16:28

The whole site is fucked

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 15:42

The app is fucked too. Hasn't worked for about a week.

TalisaMaegyr · 28/05/2014 15:04

I think the lack of communication is quite annoying for a lot of people. This is a known issue that's been going on for absolutely aaaages, and info/updates are few and far between. I don't understand what could possibly still be broken after all this time Confused

FYI, I get the problem on the mobile site and on the desktop site, makes no difference which browser I'm using either. Never used the app.

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 14:28

I think there will be many looking outwards, for a more faithful companion that can deliver the goods Sad

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/05/2014 14:13

I will admit that I have been unfaithful, and spending time with another, far more attentive, companion.
My heart may be stolen from the bosom of Mumsnet, if you do not take heed.

AnyFucker · 28/05/2014 14:09

Has somebody not paid the lecky bill or summat ?

This is ridiculous. I have never seen a tech issue go on for this long.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/05/2014 13:24

But still outrageously slow so ad blocking is not the simple answer.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/05/2014 13:24

I'm trying a different browser for the ipad with ad blocking capability. Much less sticky.

DocDaneeka · 28/05/2014 12:12

iPad ishoos here too

V slow and sticky.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/05/2014 12:00

I'm having the same issue with incredibly slow/sometimes non existent scrolling on the ipad.

AntinousWild · 28/05/2014 10:27

Bad gateways and certificates not matching and security warnings. Plus still as slow as all feck.

mummylin2495 · 28/05/2014 10:23

MNHQ can you please tell us what is happening. This is taking away the pleasure of Mumsnet for a lot of us.

GottaGetThisOut · 28/05/2014 10:15

Scrolling is terribly slow and sticky on the iPad. What's going on??
