I want tickers and avatars .... I appreciate others may have an opinion on this, which is lovely, and good for you. I'm not going to be dissuaded though.

The site is a smorgasbord board of pointless lary coloured sales pitch and bumph.

It's bursting with venomous spite and bilious stupidness some days (amongst the stalwart niceness soldiering on regardless) , so on those days I'd like to see a spot of cheer.

A unicorn crapping a rainbow, or a humorous meerkat picture with a whimsical caption.

I want kittens and puppies and flowers.

I want tickers telling me how long it was since the poster last handed out grips.

We've been told Mumsnet is moving on.

If it is, I want the the future to be sparkly and twee to the fucking max.

Hm.

If you're serious about this then the site colour should be changed from blue to a pretty pastel pink.

And references to a poster's parent status in their name should be compulsory. You'd need to become Honeymummydragonxxx.

I like "quite a while" in regards to baby immacing and tickers, some time, not long and just then should all be viable time frames.

Eg

It is not that long since HD bleached her hair and ended up looking like Keith Lemon

Yes, me too.

There was a time when mumsnet was really different from other websites, and lack of tickers was part of that. Since penis-beaker, mumsnet is now just like the other parenting sites. Except it feels old-fashioned.

www.alterna-tickers.com will meet the needs of those who want mumsnetty tickers.

Actually, I think, on reflection, that all things considered, and at the end of the day, the whole site should have comic sans as its default, n'est-ce pas?
