Justine's account

Well!

I am fresh out of the shower from a fabulous camping trip in sunny Wales to a call from one of our lovely staff to say that there was a thread started by "Justine" that was really rather vile.

Apologies all, it seems as though we have some nasties hanging around and have managed to hack Justine's account.

Tech are onto it now and we are looking at in what happened.

Justine is on hols atm. Please do report anything odd that you see.

Thanks all and apologies.

I didn't log out but powered down for a while, when I powered up it said I had locked out and my password wasn't valid! I have had to change it!!! Shock

crazynanna · 11/04/2014 19:28

JonathanCreekMumsnet · 11/04/2014 19:27

@Sparklingbrook

We need Jonathan Creek.

You rang!

It's RebeccaMumsnet here, for the lolz

bigkidsdidit · 11/04/2014 19:27

I thought GLC meant Justine was out with Ken Livingstone

Sparklingbrook · 11/04/2014 19:26

We need Jonathan Creek.

saintsalive · 11/04/2014 19:25

And the perpetrator will have access to Justine's pms and emails. I should imagine they will not be too bothered about that though. They could have a field day.

I do think though, that they leave themselves open to attack by trolls. And dont seem bothered. It is a fairly open secret that they all go on holiday at peak holiday times, and leave a skeleton staff on duty.

KoalaFace · 11/04/2014 19:25

Yeeeeees!

You track those perps ShamTech!

It's like Sherlock this is. Or CSI: Mumsnet.

I've had Wine.

Joules68 · 11/04/2014 19:24

I didn't have to log in again?!

I think its got to be an inside job

Sparklingbrook · 11/04/2014 19:23

It's like Cluedo. Smile

SnakeyMcBadass · 11/04/2014 19:23

I had to log in, too. Bloody hacker rappers.

Ooh. Welsh rappers. Interesting.

BitOutOfPractice · 11/04/2014 19:22

I just had to log back in again - is this why?

HoneyDragon · 11/04/2014 19:21

*mild?! OLD

HoneyDragon · 11/04/2014 19:20

Yes about that. How mild are Justine's dc and are they currently supervised? Grin

Sparklingbrook · 11/04/2014 19:19

Ooh 'track the perpetrator'. Duh-duh-Duuuuuuhhhhh!

ShamTech · 11/04/2014 19:15

Just to let you know we have checked this incident and agree with Rebecca that it appears only related to Justine's account. We're doing some other 'stuff' now to track the perpetrator.

FannyPriceless · 11/04/2014 19:05

I wish I had taken a screen shot so I could forensically analyse the text.

Or sell it to a newspaper.

TypicaLibra · 11/04/2014 19:00

If you google 'Am I Being Unreasonable JustineMumsnet', the thread is about the fifth one down, so you can see the new deletion message

I now know why people mark places now - I 'watched' the thread but didn't get the deletion message or any message at all.

headlesslambrini · 11/04/2014 19:00

What's happened? DCs had my attention for less than 10 minutes and something has happened

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 11/04/2014 18:58

Oh sorry, I did post on that thread, so as you were. Anyway, there's a proper deletion message now:

Message from MNHQ: This thread was removed by MNHQ following a hacking of Justine's account.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogroves · 11/04/2014 18:57

No, if you're watching the thread you get the deletion message too. I did.

AWimbaWay · 11/04/2014 18:57

Could it have anything to do with that 'Heartbleed Bug' virus that's being talked about at the moment?
