Ever found yourself wondering, in an idle moment, what really goes on at MNHQ? If you’re curious to know who’s in charge of the big red delete button, what we keep in our biscuit tin, and whether we do, in fact, harbour mainland UK’s largest cache of gin well, here’s your chance. On Wednesday 26th March we’re planning to throw open our doors to five nosy interested Mumsnetters, who’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to uncover our deepest, darkest secrets.

Attendees will be treated to

  • a tour of MNHQ (which will take approx 10 mins)
  • the opportunity to grill our community, content, bloggers, events and campaigns folks on anything you fancy
  • the chance to ransack our books box for a load of freebies
  • lunch on me (possibly with Wine)

We’ll also do our best to organise an exciting webchat guest for the day, so you can see backstage on those too.

Our offices are in central-ish London (Kentish Town); if you’re likely to be within striking distance on March 26th, and fancy a nose around, add your name to this thread; we’ll stick it in a hat and do a Hunger Games-style reaping on Monday 3rd March. Come on now, don’t be shy - what could possibly go wrong?

[May the odds be ever in your favour]

ha, don't need to, as supreme leader of all things essential, I already have zillions of hidden camera's all round MNHQ, all carefully monitored throughout day and night

and yes, in case you are wondering, it's Rowan's turn to take the minutes refill the staplers

oh and Justine, I love the jumper on the back of your chair

made ya look, made ya stare, made ya lose ya underwear

clux73 · 24/02/2014 18:27

Ooh me please! Am very intrigued to see the inner sanctum. I miss my job in a creative studio so might find myself answering your phones, tidying up, bossing people around though!

ToffeeOwnsTheSausage · 24/02/2014 18:26

WeegieMum - how can you complain London and the SE is the focus when that is where Justine happened to live when she developed MN? Someone living in Leeds or Wales could just have easily have started up the site if they had thought of it first Confused.

Labootin · 24/02/2014 18:23

Oooo ..what bright spark thought that one up !

Very brave MNHQ

Fool hardy (especially if I get chosen have you any idea how much I can drink- it's shocking check your credit limit on your credit card)

You have been warned.

doubleshotespresso · 24/02/2014 18:18

You had me at "Biscuit tin...."! Yes please....

Daisyjane12 · 24/02/2014 18:16

Sounds fun :)

HanSolo · 24/02/2014 18:16

Add me, please!

Weegiemum · 24/02/2014 18:16

Well it's a lovely idea, but I'm in Glasgow and it's term time - of course I can't come.

I think you'll have a lovely time but it does reinforce the fact that London/SE is the focus.

As there are more folk in Central London than there are in Scotland, then I really do see the rationale.

But is there a virtual way that those of us not in "striking distance" of MN to be included, then I'm probably not the only one who'd appreciate it!

AnotherWorld · 24/02/2014 18:16

Me me me!

Anonymousy · 24/02/2014 18:14

Why not eh? Do we get biscuits and gin for elevenses though? Grin

Valpollicella · 24/02/2014 18:12

Adding my name Grin

HortenMarket · 24/02/2014 18:11

Why not? Toss my name in the, ahem...pot.

Indith · 24/02/2014 18:09

showy if you go then you have to tell me all about it.

That there London place is too far for little people like me.

KatyMac · 24/02/2014 18:09

Can I come?

I'll bake cake? (& bring it)

Showy · 24/02/2014 18:07

Chuck in a free gingerbread man (you can keep your wine) and I might consider it.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 24/02/2014 18:05

Go on then, chuck my name in, got to be worth the larks. Grin

Eastpoint · 24/02/2014 18:03

That sounds like fun. I wouldn't have to kill anyone from another District while I was there though would I? Will Olivia be there to discuss The Archers?

AlpacaLypse · 24/02/2014 18:02

Realistically I don't think I could make it - but whoever does, could they let me know if Tech prefers Gordons or Bombay Sapphire so I know what sort to send as a bribe next time the site goes tits up?

HavantGuard · 24/02/2014 17:59

Maybe she means that once you know all the MN secrets she'll have to kill you. But after wine.
