"No, but if I'm getting told to eat breakfast and that not eating breakfast will ensure I die fat, alone and sobbing, then I'd quite like to know what they're basing that on"

It probably happened to their mum's neighbour's hamster's sister-in-law!
"

Ah well in that case I should probably take more care.

SHRIIIEEEKFuckingBearBlood · 25/10/2013 12:40

Well it is expensive isn't it? Why don't people use flour? Am I going to be taken aback in a year or so when the floor explodes because it has had too much flour on it?

And a shameless opportunity to tell this story again as I love it

On DS's second Christmas he was about 18m. DH had eaten the mince pie leaving a sprinkling of crumbs, I had gnawed the carrot (drew the short straw there) and we had done the footprint in the flour on the floor. When DS came down the next morning he was all wide eyed at the magic of it, and then he disappeared off, returning a couple of minutes later with his toy mop :o

Anyone trying to lose less than half a stone. Half a stone is not a problem and so depressing when you need to lose a lot of weight.

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2013 12:39

I wondered that GetOrf. I have seen the odd episode but not sure what I am missing.

MrsCampbellBlack · 25/10/2013 12:39

Anyone who says 'no is a complete sentence'. It is not. It is one word and if you answer questions like that in RL, people will think you are a rude fucker with no social skills.

Grennie · 25/10/2013 12:39

Yes Wolef. A friend's sister neighbour, died alone and sobbing also because she chose the user name Wolef on a forum. Don't say I didn't warn you.

GetOrf · 25/10/2013 12:38

Can someone please explain to me the obsession that lots of people on mumsnet have with Horrible Histories?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 25/10/2013 12:38

DS wanted to do reindeer food one year. The closest I had was an old box of Heinz baby porridge. God knows what people thought at seeing a young boy out on the driveway shaking mouldy old baby food onto the floor...

GetOrf, what about rickets? Don't forget the rickets!

ThoRAVENomiki · 25/10/2013 12:37

Is "My first ever Biscuit " the opposite of ones last Rolo?

People with silly user names.

Sparkling - What a waste of icing sugar Shock

SHRIIIEEEKFuckingBearBlood · 25/10/2013 12:37

oh OK x post.

Owlcity · 25/10/2013 12:36

The use of the word "". Does my head in!

SHRIIIEEEKFuckingBearBlood · 25/10/2013 12:36

Grennie, I do think you're reading moer into this than I intend. All that annoys me is being told this stuff as earnest fact when the person is just repeating something they've been told or read somewhere. I'm not starting a fight. Unless it's a food fight.

Ragwort · 25/10/2013 12:36

Anything with 'stupid iphone' or similar.

a. Don't show off that you have an iphone.
b. If you think your iphone is stupid give it to someone who would appreciate it (like me)

The endless droning on and on about what to buy your own children for Christmas (with 'do you think this is enough?' type comments) & anything to do with buying Christmas presents for teachers - it is not compulsory you know. Hmm.

Grennie · 25/10/2013 12:36

GetOrf - Thank you. I think I will try that diet out.

Sparklingbrook · 25/10/2013 12:35

Me too Grennie i am so going to empty a whole bag of icing sugar by the front door on 24th Dec. Grin

GetOrf · 25/10/2013 12:35

Yes it's new patented diet

No breakfast
Bag of sweets and/crisps for lunch
Several double espressos
Plate of chips and cheese for dinner
A mini magnum

You will get brittle bones and scurvy but you will be thin

Grennie · 25/10/2013 12:35

Sorry Shriieekk, I didn't mean nobody cares about you. But dying fat or thin, you still die. And being thinner just means you are thinner. Doesn't affect if you are loved by family and friends.

OhAntiChristFENTON · 25/10/2013 12:35

Grin at NoelHeadbandz. Maybe that's what the baby names topic needs, a poll option to avoid newborn sleep fug spreadsheet errors.
