Anyone else being repeatedly asked to save a file called seg.js from ib.adnxs.com?
I've run a virus scan and it was clean, and this is ONLY happening on mumsnet.
No way I'm downloading anything I didn't directly click on by the way.

I've not had the seg.js download come up for a while.

ColetteTech · 16/08/2013 15:13

Can I just check, are you all still experiencing this problem?

ColetteTech · 16/08/2013 13:21

Hi everyone,

We're working hard here at HQ to work out what's going on with this, we'll get back to you shortly.

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 15/08/2013 19:24

I've been getting this loads since yesterday and assumed it was a problem with my lappy. I tried to open it, and bugger all happened. Still kept popping up.

LIZS · 15/08/2013 19:18

yes I reported this yesterday on the Systweak advert. Is it legit? thread. Scan didn't seem to stop it but have only had it appear once today . Using IE and it was even when I was on the Site Stuff thread !

ImperialBlether · 15/08/2013 19:11

Mine hasn't happened since reporting it on here!

RowanMumsnet · 15/08/2013 19:09

Hmm. Oh dear. We'll bring this to the attention of some grown-ups and try to come back ASAP

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 15/08/2013 12:29

My hone keeps trying to download something but I just get a blank screen saying that windows can download this file.

YoniBottsBumgina · 15/08/2013 12:28

Are you all using IE? Heathens Grin download a decent browser!

When MNHQ say which ads are you looking at, they mean which ads are displaying on the page when it's appearing. You don't have to click on them or even be scrolled up to where they are. If they are on the page they may be causing it.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 15/08/2013 02:08

Me! I'm getting it on Internet Explorer. It's damned annoying! Confused

You bastards, fix it, I can't afford a new laptop....

ImperialBlether · 15/08/2013 01:19

I've pasted a screenshot on the section called Have You Seen This? If you want me to email it to you instead, let me know.

Just came up for me on active convos. I hovered over the the bar (which looks like a normal attatchment open/save/cancel prompt) and it came up with a Mumsnet address with some kind of connection to a Toyota test drive thing.

Doesn't now though and scared to click cancel!

BoneyBackJefferson · 15/08/2013 00:37

East sale and boden are the ads that are on the screen when It comes up for me

Trigglesx · 14/08/2013 23:28

I clicked on that Christmas thread that Team Edward linked to, and didn't get it popping up on that one. It seems to be random....

2tired2bewitty · 14/08/2013 23:25

I was getting this at work this afternoon and we'resupposed to have super strength fire walls. Also on IE and on a variety of threads.

Not getting it now on an android phone

ThisIsMySpareName · 14/08/2013 23:15

I keep getting a message saying my laptop has blocked a file from downloading.

LottieJenkins · 14/08/2013 23:12
