In the car, on the way to something, listening to R4, and come across Justine holding forth on ....

Football

Not mumsy stuff, but football. And genuinely knew her stuff, too

Yes, indeed, Justine's something of a longstanding football fan / expert (actually she knows a freaky amount about a lot of sports tbh.) I believe she supports a team called Liver Pool, or something like that.

I didn't think you were being rude. It just sounded un mumsnetty. When I've seen Justine quoted before it's always been on MN stuff.

Oh gosh, I really didn't mean to cause offence :( It's just that whenever I've heard Mumsnetters on the radio it has been about Mumsnet and Mumsy related stuff.

It was, but not just about Bill (which could have been mugged up). There were a few anecdotes about other managers as well. She knows her football managers, does that gal.
