Swearing. Why?

I'n not averse to the odd 'FFS' or whatever, but it seems to me that the use of the C word is now commonplace on every thread nowadays. And i don't like it one bit.

It never used to be like this. Why the cultural shift? I never hear it spoken out loud so why is it suddenly ok to plaster it all over MN?

Is it suddenly 'en vogue' to sound like a drunken navvy? Words like cunt, snatch, twat etc are just vile. Can't we reign it in a bit?

Atrocious beef curtains, the lot of ya!

The thing is, Venus, cunt is just as much a term of affection here. Atrocious cunt even more so.

Atrocious beef curtain just doesn't have the same ring to it.

No-one's called me an atrocious cunt yet though Sad

BumpingFuglies · 23/04/2013 21:45

Cunty hugs all round Smile

SPsYoniTheOneAndOnly · 23/04/2013 21:39

I've been called cunt for the first time tonight. Think its the first time anyway

BumpingFuglies · 23/04/2013 21:37

My bath is very fucking odd. The bathroom is green. Very green.

VenusRising · 23/04/2013 21:37

I find the word cunt very misogynistic tbh. It's a word that is disconnected from the body: I wonder why we are so rough when talking about our bodies, especially the private parts? It seems so harsh and unnecessarily feeling less.

I do wonder why we use it? Not suggesting we all plump for beef curtains instead, :) but why do we have this harsh body part names (ab)use.

And why is a hug is a bit no no.

Peace and love Sisters, and the same to your bits! Let's be gentle with each other, eh?

EmpressOfThe7OceansLovesMN · 23/04/2013 21:35

You're welcome Grin

I like wankbadger. Who was it who was giving out laminated wankbadgers a while ago?

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 21:32

Thank you Empress. You are too kind Smile

BitBewildered · 23/04/2013 21:32

FunnysInLaJardin I've been using 'arse biscuits' for a few weeks. Did I get it from here? Grin

EmpressOfThe7OceansLovesMN · 23/04/2013 21:29

kneedeepindaisies, you atrocious cunt, come and snuggle with us.

ClaraOswald · 23/04/2013 21:29

This many posts in eight hours?

I really shouldn't take days off MN.

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 21:28

Bumping: OP doesn't like using "the c word" but manages to call someone a cunt later on.

Also the whole "I've been on MN for ages" stuff.

kneedeepindaisies · 23/04/2013 21:27

I asked ages ago how to get called an atrocious cunt Hmm

EmpressOfThe7OceansLovesMN · 23/04/2013 21:25

The OP has come over to the dark side and there's a kind of sweary snuggly love-in going on.

I think that's about it really.

Except that you have one very unusual bath, Bumping.

BumpingFuglies · 23/04/2013 21:24

Whaaaaaat ? This was all a wind up? Please summarise someone! Am in the wankbollockingcuntychoppingtwatskyfelching bath. On the difficult app

Can't believe I'm actually thrilled to be called that Blush Grin

I feel like a true member now :o

EmpressOfThe7OceansLovesMN · 23/04/2013 21:16

LittleMissBunyoni, you're an atrocious cunt too.

LittleMissBunnyoni · 23/04/2013 21:14

I don't think I've ever been called an atrocious cunt on here

Or a twat

is it wrong that I want to be

HoneyDragon · 23/04/2013 21:14
EmpressOfThe7OceansLovesMN · 23/04/2013 21:12

Twunt is good.

KatieScarlett2833 · 23/04/2013 21:11

Cunt is a term of endearment for a man here " you're some cunt" means you are quite the lad.

If you are atrocious, you are a knob or a dick or the always fashionable, twat Smile

FarelyKnuts · 23/04/2013 21:10

I take cunt or twat, not fussy me :o

garlicyoni · 23/04/2013 21:09

bolourful, that should have been. Fail.
