Why have you gone and added that bloody Facebook Recommend button to the mobile site!

It disturbs me greatly. I knew it was on the main site but at least on mobile I could pretend it doesn't exist.

But now there it is.

I don't like it. I don't want it.

Sad

@BeerTricksPotter

It's not been doing it for ages, Helen. I thought it was deliberate, so posters couldn't mutter darkly about how many times contentious threads had been shared.

Ah Blush. 10/10 for observation for me, then!

I'll find out whether it was deliberate or accidental...

@EverythingIsTicketyBoo

How does it work?? If I click the Facebook button does it show up on just my news feed or does it show on the Mumsnet page so anyone who likes that page can see it?

It'll show in your feed, EverythingIsTicketyBoo. It's a two-step process, so you can have a go and see what it would look like - and then click away if you decide you don't want to post it onto your feed after all.

@BeerTricksPotter

The FB recommend button no longer shows how many times (if any) a thread has been shared on FB, does it?

Oh darn, it doesn't, does it? We'll sort that...

@BeerTricksPotter

A 'tweet' button has joined it.

Yes, this is true. Same things about customising/it not being on 'sensitive' threads applies.

@TaggieCampbellBlack

Oh. Good. Thanks.

No chance of just getting rid?

Afraid not. Some people do like it.

Sorry to hear it disturbs you, Taggie.

You can go to Customise and edit your settings so that it doesn't display at all for you.
