I'm now on the lap top and i really really miss the floaty bar.

I can't scroll fast on here, and I know I can press Home, but I need to use a function key for that and it's a PITA.

PLease please bring me back the floaty bar.

I have been tryong to find out what I'd done wrong with my compueter for about 20 mins - it hadn't occured to me that MN had STOLEN my floaty bar Xmas Sad

Well it has a much better ring to it than 'viewport bar' doesn't it!

Maybe that's where it all went wrong, you need to sell these new ideas. Viewport bar doesn't exactly roll off the toungue and leave you excited and expectant.

'Floaty bar' sounds all magical and woo Xmas Grin

Ahhhhhh just think = the person who made the floaty bar had been thinking it was a complete flop. Dejectedly, they bid farewell to it, casting it into the 'pixels of failure' bin.

Then, out of nowhere, groupies appeared, chanting 'Viewport bar, viewport bar, bring it back, bring it back...'

Someone, somewhere, has a nice warm glow this evening Grin

That's brilliant, though, having the Active l Threads I'm On l etc line at the bottom of the thread, too. (Has it always been there, and I've only just noticed it, or is that new, too?)

I'm sad the floaty bar's gone, but I'm guessing I'll get used to it. I'm with Tiger Feet about change!

Its good in a way, because Ive hardly been on Mumsnet at all since floaty bar left us. Got much more done today!
