Halloween name change competition - cast your --spell-- vote

RebeccaMumsnet · 29/10/2012 21:38

Following on from the Halloween name change sign-up thread , the judges have deliberated long and hard and whittled the vast list of potential winners down to just 12 [hgrin]

Please take a look at the short-list and cast your vote but be quick, voting closes Tuesday 30 October. [hshock]

Thanks to all who joined in, the short-list was really tough to get down to 12 this year.

Mwahahaha hopes nobody notices the lack of prize announcement

[hgrin]

nooo, i couldnt possibly accept your magnanimous and deeply unattractive offer Grin

ISeeThreadPeople · 31/10/2012 17:06

Come now, no fighting and bitterness. I feel MNHQ know me pretty well by now and I'm sure that as such, David Mitchell on a cracker is in the post as we type. I am willing to share so nobody feels they've missed out.

MaryZcary · 31/10/2012 16:12

Of course, had I been short-listed, I would have won.

Tee2072 · 31/10/2012 15:30

In protest of not winning, I have changed back to regular me.

Not really.

FangsGoForTheMaidensThroat · 31/10/2012 15:09

well, actually, me too Mary, am putting a brave face on but I actually have a picture of SoH on a voodoo doll here and am sticking pins in it Grin

MaryZcary · 31/10/2012 15:03

Well I was being very competitive, and am gutted that I didn't win.

FangsGoForTheMaidensThroat · 31/10/2012 15:01

as I think 99.999% of people were....it is just a wee bit of fun after all

[hgrin]

FangsGoForTheMaidensThroat · 31/10/2012 14:01

I was only being faux competitive and not a kvetcher

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 31/10/2012 13:49

Yay my favourite won!! Well done SOH, inspired! (Ignore the kvetchers, they're just [henvy] !!)

FangsGoForTheMaidensThroat · 31/10/2012 13:44

Congratulations! through gritted teeth

GrinThanksWine

TessCorpseDissect · 31/10/2012 13:19

Congratulations [hsmile]

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 31/10/2012 12:20

Showy - of course you deserve it :) Winning one year doesn't rule you out for ever more!! Don't be a dolt, enjoy the prize!! of course you can share it with all of us that voted for you

Pinot · 31/10/2012 12:10

I luffs your Dad, Showy. He has a good heart, same as his daughter. Email me, do.

InSPsFanjoNoOneHearsYouScream · 31/10/2012 10:58

Well done thread

obviously a fix how much gin have you given them Grin

ISeeThreadPeople · 31/10/2012 10:40

Shurrup Pinot. Grin I owe you an email I think. That'll cheer you, a missive from a dullard. I'll tell you all about the hand reared kittens and how they stole my Dad's ageing heart and consequently they've adopted them. The cats adopted my parents obviously. That's generally how it goes.

My Christmas name has never surpassed the mediocre fact that Show rhymes with Snow. And Ho Ho Ho in one forgettable year.

IvorHughJackolantern · 31/10/2012 10:24

Strikethrough fail there. Stand by it though Grin

Pinot · 31/10/2012 10:24

YAY! My favest MNer won :) :) I would have voted for you too, darling, if I'd got my arse in gear and found the darn thread sooner.

Send her chocolates and flowers, HQ, please. She is so deserving of a treat x

IvorHughJackolantern · 31/10/2012 10:23

Well done scary ThreadPepole! (Don't be daft, of course you are deserving even though I was the obvious winner) Wine Thanks

My Christmas name is ace Wink

ISeeThreadPeople · 31/10/2012 10:20

This is all a bit embarrassing. I genuinely didn't mean to enter having trounced the opposition won in 2010. Pleeeaaaassseeee don't worry about a prize or anything. Not that your hand baked pumpkin pie doesn't sound marvellous Rebecca, but I am not deserving in the slightest. Grin

It's a good job I'm good at Hallowe'en names, my Christmas names are shite. 55 days to come up with something passable and I am NOT entering any more NC comps. It's not fair on the Also Rans. Wink

LadyMaryCreepyCrawley · 31/10/2012 10:15
