Dear MNHQ,

I would like a name thingy (I can't remember the word, but Reality asked for it once) so that I can use a name which someone else has used previously.

The name I would like to use is Absy.
Here are a number of ridiculously good reasons as to why I'd like it and why I should have it:

  1. I have checked, and wheover has it, has never used it. Ever, like never ever in the history of mumsnet (unless I searched wrong - a possibility)
  2. Some VERY IMPORTANT and well regarded MNers Pag use it for my nickname
  3. It's short to type
  4. My proper short name is Abs, but there's someone called Abzs/Absz so it would be well confusing if I was Abs, and Absy's awesome.

Can I say, you're all looking VERY lovely today, and have you lost some weight?

AMNESTY. That's the word I'm looking for. A name amnesty please

Love, hugs and kisses
Absy

Probably best to at least wait until Monday so they can do a load of old name zapping at once!

catinboots · 30/08/2012 12:28

I emailed too.

Nowt.

AbsofAwesomeness · 30/08/2012 12:20

Hello. I'm back.

I emailed and everything. When will it be made available? I just tried, and it's still taken

Oooh, ooh! Hang on...

SuperB0F · 28/08/2012 22:06

I would love BOF. Never been used, but some bastard had it years ago. I may have a smelly out of date tube of that yellow paintstripper Clinique used to pretend was a moisturiser. You can have that for nothing.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 28/08/2012 22:02

Can you not now be
EduCated?

EduStudent · 28/08/2012 21:57

I would like Edu. It has never used to post and I've graduated so need to update Wink But EduGraduate is too clunky and I've grown fondd of those 3 little letters.

SheelaNeGig · 28/08/2012 21:53

I'd like dh to turn the tv down if we're doing general requests

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 28/08/2012 21:32

If OhChristFENTON is getting Fenton, I'd like OhChrisFENTON so I can do a creepy single white female thing while I stalk her across the site.

Tee2072 · 28/08/2012 21:06

Although I'd probably never use it, it would be nice to 'own' Tee which looks like it's never been used either...

RowanMumsnet · 28/08/2012 15:52

Ooh I have yes. I'm on Moroccan Oil now though.

ANYWAY we will have a look at these names - it might be easier if you mail us at [email protected] if you want us to look into it.

AbsofAwesomeness · 28/08/2012 15:46

Have you tried Kerastase Bain blah blah for "sensitised" hair. It's amazing. VERY amazing, but it does make DH go "you spend HOW much on shampoo on conditioner?!" (and then sneakily use it)

i'm evangelical about it

I already have a grey box. SP a blue box is what you want, surely.

RowanMumsnet · 28/08/2012 15:43

I like Clarins and posh hair products

RebeccaMumsnet likes string, mostly

Helen's all about power tools

Justine's very low-maintenance, can't go wrong with some Milletts camping wear or rubber gardening clogs
