How long should a thread be left up after we are informed it is going to be deleted?

Because I don't think that four minutes is enough of a warning, I really don't Sad

You know it will just mean threads about threads, because people who don't press F5 every minute see what looks like a totally valid question getting wiped out.

If we are going to invoke the Olympic Spirit, may I politely suggest one that leans towards London rather than Beijing?

Let's talk about jizz, or bumsex or something.

Or sightings of TypeAndWank.

Agree with your last post Maryz.

From what I know 3 threads were started yesterday about Stranded. She then posted a thread this morning and was jumped on for it. What the heck is that about? I think anyone who had three threads directed at them has the right to reply.
AFAIK Stranded is a 21 year yo, [the same as my DD], yes she can be annoying sometimes but I'd like to think the more mature women amongst us would take her age into consideration when continually having a go at her.

Legolam · 31/07/2012 20:27

If I was MNHQ and I'd have got that email I don't think I'd have replied to AM.

Why would they? Seems a lot of hassle.

Ah, right. The jizz on the doorstep just gave me a bad taste in my mouth whenever I looked at it.

usualsuspect · 31/07/2012 20:25

The jizz on the doorstep thread was funny and the entitled stepson one is, but we have been told off for being mean on that one.

'sorryface'

LeB0F · 31/07/2012 20:24

Mary, I haven't said any of that. I'm saying that ArtexMonkey has had no more that your average number of posts deleted as a spirited and regular contributor. I am further saying that she posted only once on a thread from which she was bounced for "repeated" infringements, which is clearly a mistake.

But it's being sorted out now, happily, so we don't need to stir the pot any further really, full moon or not. Is that fair enough?

Well done, dear.

usual, don't worry, it was a feeble attempt to tempt information about 'funny threads'.

usualsuspect · 31/07/2012 20:23

really what?

LRDtheFeministDragon · 31/07/2012 20:22

Oh, that leading question was to the 'funny threads'. Now I just look snarky.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 31/07/2012 20:21

Really, usual?

usualsuspect · 31/07/2012 20:21

I can cope with the nuts threads. MN was pissing me off big time last night then a barmy thread popped up and I was on here till gone midnight again Grin

MarygoeZforgold · 31/07/2012 20:19

It's a full moon usual, it always goes a bit nuts.

usualsuspect · 31/07/2012 20:18

There have been some funny threads elsewhere on MN today, outside of the drama zone.

I am always apologising for stuff i shouldnt need to, it's a kind of affliction Grin

MarygoeZforgold · 31/07/2012 20:16

Oh, my warnings were never for being narsty, btw. I'm not narsty at all, I just get my teeth into things sometimes. I think my "shut up now, that's enough" warnings were for my extended dealings with Melvin and Penandink.

And I still promised to stop, even though I knew I was right. Because it's mumsnet's site, they are allowed to make the rules, and if I don't want to stick to them I can always leave. And I don't want to.

usualsuspect · 31/07/2012 20:16

Some of its a bit shit I agree, I'm just ignoring all the drama-llamas now.
