Can we ask, oh lovely MNHQ, what feedback did you get from the TV company who wanted contestants for the new Peter Andre programme...

I was sick from work the week that thread surfaced. It was the greatest thing I'd ever seen and cheered me up no end. Someone contact the production company. Now.

Insania you say,

Lexilicious · 28/06/2012 14:34

I worry that the acronym 'PALFHK' could be construed as libellous. I tend to read it mentally (in MN-lexicon) as 'PA effing loves his kids, but the L and the F are the wrong way round and so you get... well I won't say.

If in fact it is PA's Love For.., I will of course retrain my inner reading-out voice.

HelenMumsnet · 28/06/2012 14:09

@Valpollicella

I bet MNHQ have a disclaimer at the end of a media request contract (in point 0.05 type) which reads something like:

If they tear you to shreds, we absolve ourselves of any responsibility. Even PALFHK can't protect you. And you cant have your money back. We warned you, suckers...

But you're all Insania, obvs.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 27/06/2012 10:17

I've got another theory. In the same way that most MNers loathe the Daily Fail but it gets linked to more than any other paper, maybe they never expected us to sign up but they do think we'll be watching in droves so we can tear it to pieces afterwards.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 27/06/2012 09:36

If they DIDN'T ask for their pennies back, you know what that means?

Someone signed up Shock

I heard that Fanta is being renamed " Essence of Petie"

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 21:04

Well there you go. See PA thread turned into tree chat. Lovely Smile

TantrumsAndBalloons · 26/06/2012 21:03
SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 21:01

Worse, he be SINGING

No, no metaphor. Handy tree lecture. You're so very welcome.

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 20:58

Is that a simile Sue? (or is it a metaphor, I struggle with the difference tbh). Who is the manful deciduous tree?

Rebecca I can't see your link sadly. Is he telling a good joke in it?

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 20:38

Nah. Orange trees make oranges in the summer. Then they are exhausted, poor lambs, it's not natural to be orange all the time. So the deciduous trees manfully take on the orange duties for autumn.

PA gives off an unnatural Ready Brek glow all year round. Like Fanta Kryptonite.

RebeccaMumsnet · 26/06/2012 20:21

Now that is funny still Sad about the wonky duck though

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 20:17

Rain water [rolls eyes] am going to have to buy a stupid water butt and hack up a down pipe.

Is there such a thing as an orange tree? All year round properly orange, not just autumnally orange?

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 19:41

Yeah, trees are more interesting. And less orange, even in the case of orange trees.

Can you catch rainwater for it then? Or does it prefer Evian?

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 19:37

I start to worry about him, him and his ilk, and then I realise I could be investing my emotional energies into all sorts of other life affirming and spiritually beneficial projects such as keeping this fucking Acer my mother has given me alive. I can't water it with tap water! What sort of a stupid prissy tree is that?

See PA concerns vs keeping high maintenance tree alive. Tree wins. Soul wins.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 19:34

God yes SLAG as in slag him off, no no never to the other.

Eurgh. Course, I doubt he is gagging for me either. I actually think it's awfully likely he prefers himself to any actual woman anyway.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 26/06/2012 19:31

I was a bit worried about you after your 18:38 post, *SueP.

But then I reread it and saw you were saying you could slag him so that was ok.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 19:28

like coconut? I shall be delicious and a welcome addition to any kitchen, so.

Dontcha worry about me Slubby, me old chicken, worry for Petey. Worry bad.

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 19:17

I fear for it also Sue, each PA thread desiccates your soul a little bit.

SuePBlovesaDiamondJubilee · 26/06/2012 19:10

Oh. Those images make me sad (speshly the duck)

But the glowing orange goon that is PA makes me laugh. When he speaks, I laugh. When he tries to think I laugh. When he attempts sincerity I laugh.

I don't think it's the same at ALL.

I fear for my immortal soul but at least I have one, eh Petey? How much did ITV2 pay for yours?

Slubberdegullion · 26/06/2012 19:05

No no no Sue, using up special leisure time to laugh at PA is not beneficial to the health of the soul. Tis like mocking a duck with a wonky leg or a marmot with a six pack plastic separator stuck round its neck.
