Pretty please ?

Comes up with half the page missing. Thought it was fixed but now it's broken again.

Thank you.

I won't let DH touch my desk top until DD2 leaves primary, I've vast amounts of PTA publicity stuff saved in Coral Draw.

Being mean it's a very old very temperamental version of CD, it crashes if you look at it funny.

SandyMumsnet · 11/04/2012 10:03

Hi MrsDeeBee,

Glad everything seems to be okay now. Give us a shout if things change.

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 21:51

Seems to be Ok now...thanks for all the advice, Zombie, all too confusing for me though ! I daren't change anything on my trusty little top, I am too petrified of losing things !

Not comp. savvy at all, which is bad, I know. Blush

MrsDeeBee, if it is an "old browser" issue, you just need to update to the most recent version. Having said that...

If you really are using Internet Explorer, please ditch it. It's crap. Mozilla Firefox and / or Google Chrome are much better.

Zombie only used Internet Explorer once on this laptop and that was to download Firefox. She then used Firefox to download Chrome.

Tee2072 · 10/04/2012 18:24

This was an issue awhile ago as well and I think it turned out to be a certain advert.

::vaguely helpful::

MadamePinot · 10/04/2012 17:32

What else would we call you anyway? Confused

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 17:17

Thank you v. much, Rowan.

Wouldn't dream of calling you anything else !

Tech is most likely right. They usually are.

Well. That's ruined the surprise. Only April and I already know what I shall be having for Christmas.

Obviously a new-fangled whoojama-thingamebob-wotsit with a 'NEW' browser.

Which would be fine, but by the time I can afford one, it's already old.

OP posts:
RowanMumsnet · 10/04/2012 17:13

You can call me whatever you like, so long as it's either 'Rowan' or 'RowanMumsnet' [strict face]

Tech thinks this might be what's known as 'having an old browser', but we're just checking.

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 17:00

Seems to be better again, RowanMumsnet.

I am going to stop calling you by your surname and just call you Rowan. I hope that's OK ? Grin

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:48

Ooh, that's a thought, MakeMine !

They should run a competition for all of us with old fogey laptops. Even though they're not really, it's just that technololololology moves on soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fast. Grin

OP posts:
MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:46

No slinging, just good fun !

Whose Murry ? Ruby ? Or that ol' chance-has-been-and-gone from Scotland ? Grin

MakeMineACafPow · 10/04/2012 16:44

I think they should provide us with nice MN compatible new watchamabobs don't you MrsDB? expecting us to put up with this is outrageous! worth a try

startail · 10/04/2012 16:40
Grin

I like both of them, so I'll sit on the fence and watch you sling buns (tennis balls), just make sure a few hit Murry.

(my iPod losses the WiFi randomly so I never know what's me and what's MN)

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:40

Ooh, mine's older. It's Vista. See, I told you. Naffy ol' laptop's fault.

OP posts:
MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:38

Same as MakeMine's

S'probably our crappy old computers ! Bet we wouldn't get this with an 'i' thingameegig ? Or whatever the newest fandangled 'touch' wotsit is ? Grin

I have touch type on my laptop. I touch the keypad. I type. No ?

jenfraggle · 10/04/2012 16:37

Do you use Windows? If so which one, XP, Vista, 7?

Do you use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome etc to access Mumsnet? If in doubt, go to Help > About (should be something similar on most browsers)

:)

MakeMineACafPow · 10/04/2012 16:36

glad I not the only one who's abit thick MrsDB

MakeMineACafPow · 10/04/2012 16:35

Errm... windows 7, internet explorer? Blush

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:33

What ?

OP posts:
RowanMumsnet · 10/04/2012 16:32

Righto, sorry - I've asked Tech to have a look.

Those of you who are having trouble - could you tell us your operating systems and browser/version?

Thanks

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:27

RowanMumsnet

It's doing it again. Sad

OP posts:
MakeMineACafPow · 10/04/2012 16:25

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:25

MadamePinot · 10/04/2012 16:23

MrsDeeBee · 10/04/2012 16:22

Hi RowanMumsnet

Seems to be all better now.

Although it did that once already. I will keep an eye on.

Thank you for asking. Smile
