Are there still moderators on this site? If there are, are they employed direct by Mumsnet or are they members that volunteer themselves for the role? How do you become a moderator on this site?

You feel so strongly about this, you'll say it twice? Grin

I'd make a terrible Mod - I'd let almost anything stand so long as it was funny.

I love the fact that mn isn't moderated. Bring in mods and I'm off like last months milk!

But some are more moderate than others.

Hi EJW12345

Mumsnet is self policing so Mumsnetters report posts/posters to us and we have a look.

There is a community team at MNHQ who post on the boards but we aren't what is normally considered 'moderators'

SuePurblybiltFromChocolate · 09/04/2012 14:39

Why? Are you volunteering?

No, there are no mods. We self-moderate to an extent - there are 'report' buttons on every post and MNHQ have a team of quick-draw sleuths who investigative and delete/deal with the bunfights.

There never were mods, were there?

Sparklingbrook · 09/04/2012 14:39

We are all moderators aren't we? Grin

HettyKett · 09/04/2012 14:38

No, no mods here. Are user moderated.
