I remember the first time I saw a horse dick.

No lie.

It was a dray horse outside a pub where I was sat with a bottle of coke and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps.

We were too poor for ponies.

We used to nick ducks from the park, and collect slow worms.

I also had a box of snails, and I painted their shells with nail varnish (which killed 'em).

I thought geldings didn't have dicks. Stallions did.
