Randomly forced name changes on a regular basis, just to make it more interesting.

dearprudence · 25/02/2012 20:01

Fewer topics, I think. And no quoting, but I think this one has been discussed and dismissed before.

I like the idea of more explanatory deletion messages.

JugglingWithTangentialOranges · 25/02/2012 20:00

Make name changing easier - loads of people do it just for fun eg seasonally

  • But I've noticed if I change my name my profile page becomes unaccessable.

Maybe you could have options for whether it's a more serious name change or whether it's just for fun ( and not a fresh start of any kind ) HTH

More emoticons and more seasonal variations - I like my emoticons Grin Thanks

QuintessentialyHollow · 25/02/2012 19:58

They should ban that QuintessentialShadows, and any of his/ her variations.

Bunbaker · 25/02/2012 19:58
  1. Please number the posts on each thread. On another forum I use the posts are numbered so I know how many posts have been added after the last time I looked or the last time I posted.
  1. A laugh emoticom. It might prevent some posts from being taken the wrong way.
  1. Spellcheck.
  1. A better search function.

But if the quiches all wound up in a dungeon people wouldn't stumble across them, and there would even MORE threads about quiches and then a whole new load of quiches would be born in active convos and then more threads would start saying, quiches get into the quiche dungeon, best leave quiches floating around quietly ensnaring victims welcoming new posters into the fold.

Slubberdegullion · 25/02/2012 19:50

There is a quiche topic already. It's called Off The Beaten Track.

Outdoorsy shite topic please mnhq.

Apart from that everything is perfectly wonderful.

LikeAnAdventCandleButNotQuite · 25/02/2012 19:46

Could we have a emoticon?

I would likea Judge's Chambers, somewhere that I can hoik my judgy pants up about certain things just to vent. There are lots and lots of things I am non-judgey about, and a couple of things I am, that doesn't make me an awful person.

Honeydragon · 25/02/2012 19:46

ChuffMuffin HQ did a vote on that last year, it was a resounding no.

I don't mean to sound impatient but I still have no red button, nor do I appear to be in charge?
I haven't got all day.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 25/02/2012 19:44

NO MOre TOPICS. there's so many now that most have bugger all traffic - you end up just sticking stuff in chat so it gets answered

and we definitely need a shady closet into which all the clique threads can be moved.

ChuffMuffin · 25/02/2012 19:41

The ability to quote posters in threads, like MNHQ can Smile

ReallyTired · 25/02/2012 19:39

I would like the ablity to spell check posts.

Another vote for always highlight OP, even if they namechange. Sometimes it's really frustrating losing track of the OP because of a seasonal namechange, sometimes it would out sockpuppets, would be useful in several ways IMO.

sunshineoutdoors · 25/02/2012 19:18

Oops, I meant to add please on the end of that. How rude!

sunshineoutdoors · 25/02/2012 19:17

Refresh screen function on iPhone app.

sunshineoutdoors · 25/02/2012 19:16

I'm torn about the edit own posts thing, maybe for a very short amount of time after postings; otherwise a lot of threads could lose their sense when you are reading them.

I think it's quite good that what you post is permanent, it makes you really think about what you're saying before you say it. That is good procedure for rl too.

HJisgoingtotheChaletSchool · 25/02/2012 19:13

Tick box to hide multiple threads please!!!

What she said :)

Bogoffubastard · 25/02/2012 19:11

More emoticons in the iPhone app! I don't even have a cuppa or wine glass! Just this >> Bear Hmm
