If the word is Mumsnet, and then surely the place should be MHQ and the proles should actually be Mers or Metters?

I know it doesn't flow as well, but, hey, accuracy is improtant isn't it?

Another new topic? Certain people's heads would explode.

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans · 27/02/2012 16:01

Maybe those threads should have their own section?

@Thumbwitch

Oi, Helen - I think you'll find Lexilicious and I have already pointed that out, y'know. Granted, one part each, which would excuse you not noticing [gracious] but still. Grin

Sorry Blush

That'll teach me for not reading properly

Ackserly, to go back to OP, if you're going to be pedantic, it should be MH, shouldn't it?

Cos headquarters is all one word, just like Mumsnet is, innit?

And MH would be VERY confusing, wouldn't it, seeing as MNHQ's mental health is beyond question and all...

I was rationing the full stops as lots of people like to print off my musings/instructions for posterity. Saving printer ink you understand.

Maybe Net is meant to be a verb, Debka. It would explain the lack of apostrophe but the question then would be, Mums net what?
