Just noticed the Original Poster is appearing on Active now. Thanks MNHQ! (or has it been like this for an age and I've Only Just Noticed? Blush)

So demanding! :o

Get0rf · 12/12/2011 01:24

This is fantastic - I have asked for this on several threads in the past, it's really good I think.

Thanks MNHQ.

Can we have a [twat] emoticon now? It will be very useful Grin

ColdTurkeyRemains · 09/12/2011 22:54

For unmessiness's sake.

Tech · 09/12/2011 22:54

I have. I'll pass it on to the relevant powers.....

Trills · 09/12/2011 22:52

Hello Tech :)

Have you seen the very clever suggestion above to put most recent poster and time of most recent post into one column as a streamlining thing?

Tech · 09/12/2011 22:48

Hi, the months rather than minutes should be showing now - in other words the started date should look correct.

JingleBelleDameSansMerci · 09/12/2011 20:57

Yay! Love this... Can avoid choose threads based on author. Perfect!

Tech · 09/12/2011 20:54

Oops. We'll fix later tonight.

RustyBear · 09/12/2011 18:00

Actually it's putting the minutes past the hour of the OP as the month.

RustyBear · 09/12/2011 17:57

There are some very strange dates on there.
We appear to be in at least the 50th month of 2011....

KateFrothers · 09/12/2011 17:42

God it's like nursery drop off again. DS only goes once a week and he's the only kid not in fancy dress or with party food or whatever Blush

Must try harder. But I'm indirectly in The Guardian tomorrow so ner.

OliviaMumsnet · 09/12/2011 17:39

You must check your book bags.

Trills · 09/12/2011 17:38

I didn't need to tick it, it just happened.

It seems VERY unlikely that Tech read through all the old discussions about it and turned it on only for people who expressed a liking for the idea.

KateFrothers · 09/12/2011 17:35

Um, prob not Blush

Was there a note home and I missed it?

Thanks Rusty Smile

RustyBear · 09/12/2011 17:28

Kate - do you have 'Show started by column' ticked in Customise?

KateFrothers · 09/12/2011 17:02

Excuse me. I don't have it and I'm all mod cons here. My posts are purple, OPs are green and MNHQ are blue.

But I don't have this feature.

Trills · 09/12/2011 16:01

Surely the whole POINT of Classic is that it doesn't have new shiny spangly features. It is Classic. Old. Like thing were in days of yore.

CatherineMumsnet · 09/12/2011 15:55

Yes they are

CatherineMumsnet · 09/12/2011 15:55

Smiles should be back now, hang on... :)

KateFrothers · 09/12/2011 15:11

I don't have it. And I'm not using Classic. My brower is Chrome if that helps.

Is this why all the smilies have gone?

HelenMumsnet · 09/12/2011 15:09

@tethersjinglebellend

I always have most recent poster showing, but now I have a middle column with the OP for each thread showing; I didn't ask it to do this.

Tethers, you can also go to Customise and switch this view off. It's under Other Options.

HelenMumsnet · 09/12/2011 15:08

@silverfrog

Nope, just same old columns with most recent, time of post, nd number of replies.

Bet it isn't available in Classic view

No it isn't, silverfrog. We -thought it might cause a revolt-- know Classic users generally like to keep things as they are.

HelenMumsnet · 09/12/2011 15:06

@Trills

I think it happened Just Now

Yes it did!

Trills · 09/12/2011 14:48

I have special powers

ColdTurkeyRemains · 09/12/2011 13:48

ooh.

You recognised me?
