I have just namechanged.

Luckily I was on a TwittyArsingAround thread.

It could have been something really embarassing.

I didn't know the hovery-thing still worked when you namechanged. I thought it'd be like your profile.

Bad day.

Aah, it nicks it from your old name and applies it to your new name. So still a problem.

Have PM'd.

Are we decided that it does or doesn't stay? The tag that is? It definitely used to stay.

AtYourCervix · 09/11/2011 20:10

only a bit. why? pm me.

ShowOfHands · 09/11/2011 20:03

I just came on to find out what a complant is Grin

HerdOfTinyElephants · 09/11/2011 19:27

Hah -- and you are about the only poster whose hovery thing I'd recognise, too, because of your hovery things thread last week (or whenever it was)...

FellatioNelson · 09/11/2011 19:22

I have made that very same mistake before as well, when I name-changed for something personal. Luckily I realised and disabled the hovvery thing in the nick of time. But I agree with you - you should have to opt in to keep the hovvery thing when you name change.

AtYourCervix · 09/11/2011 19:19

or does the ovver thingy work if you enable profile and get an underlining? in wjhicj cas a sensitive namechange to talk about mucous or poo would be pointless bollox too.

AtYourCervix · 09/11/2011 19:18

showey can you check mine and see if it is there with my change?

ShowOfHands · 09/11/2011 19:17

I realised this a while ago. I have to remember to change my tag when namechanging or it outs me.

AtYourCervix · 09/11/2011 19:17

my name chnge has proved htis thread pointless bollocks.

it doesn't linger like dog hair at all.

crevix · 09/11/2011 19:15

i think you are all talking bolocks an i should be elected queen.

tooearlymustdache · 09/11/2011 18:55

you'd be surprised Molly

what if i was posting about a Sensitive Issue?

bananamam · 09/11/2011 18:52

What is this hover you speak of? Does it identify your previous names?

MollyintheMoon · 09/11/2011 18:51

Ah I see.

Nobody would ever remember a tag-line though surely!

tooearlymustdache · 09/11/2011 18:49

it follows you, like a bad smell Confused

the hover does i mean

MollyintheMoon · 09/11/2011 18:48

The message isn't appearing now under 'spotTheDifference' though. Still confused!

tooearlymustdache · 09/11/2011 18:46

i've NCed on this thread, see what happens

MollyintheMoon · 09/11/2011 18:44

I still don't get it Confused

Does the message not change when the name does?

BeyondThePail · 09/11/2011 18:41

Two fingers.

Did you mom see you doing that?

OP posts:
BeyondThePail · 09/11/2011 18:40

spugglers.

If you hover over nicknames with your Cursor, some posters have little secret messages that appear.

OP posts:
spotTheDifference · 09/11/2011 18:40

ya'll get me?

tooearlymustdache · 09/11/2011 18:38

I agree

I once almost outed myself by the hovery thingy betraying me!

But joking aside, i think the hovery thingy should disable if you NC.

Luckily, mine too was on a pisstake jokey thread.
