I have just namechanged.

Luckily I was on a TwittyArsingAround thread.

It could have been something really embarassing.

I didn't know the hovery-thing still worked when you namechanged. I thought it'd be like your profile.

Bad day.

Not wanting to split hairs, but why do we need a consensus at all, Catherine?

The NC facility exisits primarily (so i thought) to protect your ID...your caption potentially outs us!

Please change this

LauraIngallsWilder · 10/11/2011 10:17

I didnt know about the "hovery thing" but eek how dare it follow people about!!

It will be tickers next I tell ya.......................

ChaosTrulyReigns · 10/11/2011 10:13

Thank.

I wonder how many more agreeable souls I need on here?

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 09/11/2011 23:20

Oh I see. I agree. Whimper

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:52

Nope.

Your name is foine.

People seem to be forgetting that Catherine needs lots of consensus so she can take it to the ChangesUrgentlyNeedTweaking committee.

Be gone ub and never darken our doors again

UrsulaBuffay · 09/11/2011 22:41

I watch threads, am I doin it wrong? I don;t MN properly I don't have the thread going the right way or owt.

PacificDogwood · 09/11/2011 22:41

Ooooh, I've seen people do that

IcanonlydoitlikethisandChaoswouldnotapprove

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 09/11/2011 22:39

Or make it so that when you click back, active doesn't refresh.

What's up chaos? Is.it.my name?

HowOfShands · 09/11/2011 22:39

Pacific, wanna learn summat else? You can strike out sentences like this you see

HowOfShands · 09/11/2011 22:38

Nobody watches threads but yes Ursula is right, you open it, you lose the other one. So yes put the watch function on active. Or the option to have it there. Same as hide.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:37

Ahem.

SPB.

UrsulaBuffay · 09/11/2011 22:36

That's me!

Yeah they need like a click them to add to watch list or summat just when you see them in active.

PacificDogwood · 09/11/2011 22:35

Touch of class, Ursula Grin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 09/11/2011 22:35

Agree with soh. If you open the thread to watch it, too late.

UrsulaBuffay · 09/11/2011 22:33

I prefer my one Pacific Grin

Those 2 clicks are a bastard when you've a kid tugging on your trousers insisting you 'watch me mummy!'

PacificDogwood · 09/11/2011 22:32

tadaa!!

I support SOH in her request because this missing-out-on-potentially-interesting-threads has also always bugged me and is my NBF for teaching me hoveryness

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:31

Or a watch list that you can add to without opening particular threads?

Those extra 2 clicks (1 clicks) - very onerous, non?

Wink
ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:30

Something like a watch list?

Smile
UrsulaBuffay · 09/11/2011 22:29

A klaxon Showy, you want a klaxon

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:29

The thing is Showy.

It's not under hovery thingy on reg details.

Something totalliy weird and nonsensicak.

Confused
ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/11/2011 22:27

Canestan?

HowOfShands · 09/11/2011 22:27

Pacific, go to 'my mumsnet' and 'registration details'. It's under your registered username.

HowOfShands · 09/11/2011 22:27

I'm in bed bfing and mning and have Friends in the laptop waiting for me to snuggle down and watch a few episodes...

Anyway, what I want on MN is something to resolve this situation. You know when you're scanning Active Convos and you see something juicy but then you spot what might be a bunfight and you click on the one that's most pressing, then you click back and Active has moved on and the thread's gone and you're buggered if you can remember wtf it was. Sometimes it comes round again but sometimes you just know you missed a good 'un. I want some way of holding it in place or watching it without opening it, so that I can go back to it.
