Harley just read this thread. He says 'woof!'

Foble · 09/11/2011 16:25

Hehehe. Has the poo troll gone then? It was up to 200-odd posts when I last saw it.

ConstanceNoring · 09/11/2011 16:25

I saw that thread earlier, when did it go < ahem > ?

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 16:22

Oh Brian Brian

The old poo troll eh?

MsBrian · 09/11/2011 16:21

I've just spent all day giving advice to a bloody troll who said couldn't poo :(

Don't talk to me about ducks!

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 16:20

The dogs ate em, Rhubs

TheRhubarb · 09/11/2011 16:17

Won't anyone think of the ducks?

Hully is right.
Fact.

MmeLindor. · 09/11/2011 15:03

:o at Inanity Flash Mob

I need to go and have a look at the other thread. Am being bad at keeping up with stuff like that atm. Too much other stuff going on.

CalatalieSisters · 09/11/2011 15:02

Yes, fine whaddeverGrin They annoyed me with their Inanity Flashmob, and I annoyed them by whinging about it. Even Stephens.Smile

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 15:00

And they aren't a gang and don't have a gang thread. Just so we're clear!

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 14:59

Ah. It isn't done specifically to hijack tho, it just arises and then subsides. Happens everywhere.

CalatalieSisters · 09/11/2011 14:57

What I hated Hully was a whole little gang of people coming on specifically to hijack. Obviously that's different from the usual sort of meandering. I know I was humourless about it but it does piss me off a bit -- especially when it is oddly done in the name being polite and reasonable. There's plenty of gang threads to gang about on. I'm on one myself.

"If a child is on a final warning for pushing kids on the playground, then is rude to a teacher - is it OK to punish them as if they have pushed another child in the playground or do you punish them like any other child that had been rude to the teacher? IMO that is the question."

Yes, Chipping (was it?). I would punish that child for their behaviour in general, as I don't say to my children, "If you hit your sister again you will be going without supper" but then ignore if he drew on the wall.

Bad behaviour is bad behaviour. I don't have specific punishments for specific actions. If he is naughty, he gets locked in the cellar.

Reminds me of saying to him, "If I see you hitting your sister one more time, there will be serious consequences" and him replying, "and if you don't see me hit her?".

TheRhubarb · 09/11/2011 14:54

Riiight. Well it ain't common knowledge to me and many others and doesn't explain why it says her facebook account for Vallhala was started last month.

Calatalie - there must be around 10 threads all on this subject, you can hardly avoid it! To my knowledge I've posted on the puppy photo one and this one, but I may be wrong, I don't track my own threads very often. I'm interested in this as the story unravelling is actually quite gripping, a bit like a mystery whodunnit.

I remember some controversy around valhalla aaaaages ago on Mumsnet that I wasn't caught up in so I remain interested to find out more. Blatant rubber necking I think you call it. Wink

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 14:54

calatalie I do hope you aren't talking about things other than the matter strictly at hand? you know you hate that.

Hullygully · 09/11/2011 14:53

Chipping

I don't give a flying fuck if she is banned or not, but look:

She was on a warning re personal attacks.

She personally attacked

Warning was followed through.

Simple.

Whether or not you feel the personal attack was justified is irrelevant.

DooinMeCleanin · 09/11/2011 14:49

She changed from one spelling to the other to make herself less searchable when the stalking started. When that didn't help she namechanged. She was given a temporary ban under the name DBF I believe and was then allowed back if she agreed to tone it down, which she had been doing.

She has several Facebook accounts. One for MN, one for personal use and one for her rescue work. All of which were set to 'private' until very recently. She started referring to herself under boths names when she gave up trying to avoid the stalking. Other posters followed suit. It is common knowledge that she was both Vallhala/Valhalla and DogsBestFriend.

CalatalieSisters · 09/11/2011 14:48

Yes, sixstring

SixStringWidow · 09/11/2011 14:46

does anyone care.... Grin

CalatalieSisters · 09/11/2011 14:45

It's only confusing to you because you've entered a discussion three threads in about a poster you aren't much aware of, Rhubarb. There isn't anything really very complicated at all.

TheRhubarb · 09/11/2011 14:44

And even more confusing is why she is listed as valhalla and vallhala on Mumsnet (note the different spellings). I assume this is the same person?

Does anyone really know what is going on?
