for what it's worth, I don't think that DBF should be banned.

I think she is an articulate and forthright poster who has the confidence to write what she truly believes. These attributes are not so common as to be dismissed lightly.

On a personal level DBF completely changed my attitude towards rescue dogs, to the point where any future dog I might be lucky enough to have will definitely come from a rescue centre.

Please reconsider your decision - DBF is an asset to MN.

Jax, she started a thread after a well known mner had lost their DH and had got a lot of stuff etc.
I felt for her, so I paypalled her money.
Turns out I was wrong, so was my fault entirely.

But, hey, still not been offered it back.

Well as I said on the other forum, I'm on both forums and I intend (if I can) to stay on both forums. There are people on both that I like to debate and argue with. But I won't be cutting and pasting from one forum to another. That's just childish.

The internet is a big place, there's room for everyone. There are parts of MN I am uncomfortable with, and I am sure given time there will be parts of the other forum I will be uncomfortable with

Ok, this is getting silly now.

Look, if you don't like MN then go. Off you go to Mouldies or Temp Forum or wherever.

If you want to stay and engage with MNHQ to find ways of improving the site then do so.

But going over there and bitching about MN - and anyone can read that forum, it is not locked down - is just mind boggling.

fwiw, I read the thread that DBF linked to and have to agree that based on THAT thread, without any previous history then DBF should not have been banned. However, there was previous history and this must be taken into consideration.

Was DBF's post reported and was it the only one on that thread reported? There are very few deletions.

As to TLE - I do think that she should be at the very least warned.

This is not the first time that she has been involved in a large scale controversy on MN, I think. Weren't there other instances?
