This appears in Active (and is gaining posts) but when I click it all I see is:

I saw the apology [ Tech (MNHQ) Sun 18-Sep-11 13:44:40 ] about some "up and down-age" (which got some smutty responses!) but it is now clearly connected with that Pfffft!

(ie some drastic action was needed... I think Tech is in Florida, so it may have been a "restart the server" decision while waiting for his breakfast coffee to come up to temperature, forgetting we've been up for hours by then!)

I predict a new and enhanced App for the iPhone/ iPad / iPod Touch to "provide some additional features" ... (programmers used to say: that's not a bug - it's a feature !) - the feature in this case being a disconnection from the MN web server every 10 minutes, so the user cannot post forever and keep the thread "alive" by so doing.

IrmaMuthafucker · 18/09/2011 13:37

Finally a use for the iphone app!

NormaStanleyFletcher · 18/09/2011 13:27

Oh good - not just me then

MapofTassie · 18/09/2011 13:27

It's like a secret club! Grin

I was more excited to find the square brackets on my iPhone!

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 18/09/2011 12:31

Pinot said 'tit'!

Pinot · 18/09/2011 11:50

I am titillated by this.

TashHag · 18/09/2011 10:35

It's all a bit random, really, nothing exciting.

I do reveal my usual Mn name on there, but I don't flatter myself that that will be of the slightest interest to anyone except me and my pet dog...

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 18/09/2011 09:46

I can see it on my iphone app but you can't see the original post or subsequent replies, only the random mumblings that appeared after the deletion. Tis very strange!

EdithWeston · 18/09/2011 09:45

SCNSW: it wasn't that interesting - a thread about a thread (the Forces angle was pretty irrelevant in both) - lots of complaining and accusations of whining. It was deleted when it was still short (about 20 posts? can't remember exactly). No idea what it's become - perhaps one of the gloaters who can see it will enlighten us.

Morning all,

Thank you for reporting and it is somewhat of mystery atm.

Tech are taking a look and we can see the thread from the app too dontcha know! Wink

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 18/09/2011 09:40

Does anyone know what it was originally about?

TashHag · 18/09/2011 09:37

Works on iPad too...

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 18/09/2011 09:33

Mwahahahahaha!

We are the chosen few...

EdithWeston · 18/09/2011 09:22

Morning, techs!

The number of posts on the deleted thread is now over 200.

Please would you either get rid of it completely, or restore it to all of us. It doesn't seem right to have a thread which is only available to a fortunate few with a smartphone.
