"How Mothers Love" email address from Bookclub News - is it correct?

I've emailed for a copy of the book, copy and pasting the email, but it comes back with delivery failure, bizarrely from [email protected] rather than the postmaster.

Just to keep you posted; if you've emailed before 6.30pm then the great news is that you're safe to receive a copy of the book consequently Little Brown will not be sending out confirmation emails, just take it you will be getting a book. We'll post next week to let you know that they've been sent out. Sorry to those who missed out and massive apologies for the mess up yesterday with Little Brown.

I think it's good PR of Little Brown to double the number of books given away and that a draw is a very fair way of doing things.

I sent an email a few minutes ago and it doesn't seem to have bounced back. Fingers crossed, it looks like a good book.

Okay, so we've been on the phone to Little Brown this morning and the good news is that the email address is now working.

Great news is that to apologise for the frustration this has caused, Little Brown have agreed to giveaway 100 copies of How Mother's Love - that's double the books they had originally offered.

We've decided the fairest way to deal with the situation is this: If you want a copy of the book, send one email with your postal address to [email protected] anytime up until 4pm today. Little Brown will then collect all the email addresses, including those that did go through yesterday or earlier this morning and draw 100 names randomly out of a hat. They will notify all people who will receive copies of the book by email before the end of the week. We're also talking with Little Brown about getting Naomi Stradlen on Mumsnet for a live webchat - we'll keep you posted on this.

I couldn't agree more with TheRealMBJ. I thought just Prolific had been promised a copy (which does seem unfair) but if all posters on this thread are to receive a copy so should those of us on the other threads. Tis only fair really.

I'm confused Rachel, there are 2 threads about this. You have posted on both of them about coming back mid-morning today to check, but early on this one you have promised prolific that posters on this thread will get a copy. What is the deal?

I really would love a copy of this book and am happy to 'fight it out' on a first come first served basis, but think it a bit unfair if some posters are promised one.

Oh no! I emailed last night immediately on reading the Bookclub newsletter and have only just found the bounceback in my spam folder.
RachelMumsnet are you compiling a 'safe list'? Or are we just checking back tomorrow?

Little Brown really apologise for the problems you've been experiencing. They're looking to resolve this as quickly as possible but it hasn't been helped by the fact there was a massive power cut in the area earlier today and their offices in EC4 were plunged into darkness for most of the afternoon Confused. Consequently, this isn't going to be resolved today because all their servers are still down but they should have it fixed by 11am tomorrow. Come back to this thread tomorrow mid-morning and if the original email is still not working, we'll announce the new email address on this thread tomorrow.

Hi just noticed this thread, have been posting in Book of the Month too! I have tried from 3 different email accounts/providers and it bounces back each time. Might start to take it personally soon Wink Maybe I'll be lucky and get a free book one day.
