Great another website to fight with Hmm

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/05/2011 17:52

Well clearly they need to coralled into their own pen, to stop them marauding over here, Mamaz0n!

TrillianAstra · 08/05/2011 17:52

I think Granning is more different to Mumming than Dadding is.

Or maybe there will be a "proper" Dadsnet at some point.

I imagine that Gransnet as a separate entity would attract different advertisers and different sponsors.

Mamaz0n · 08/05/2011 17:45

I am sure this has been asked before but how come Gransnet is its own site? Dadsnet is just another topic on the main site, how come Grans need an entire site?

BitOfFun · 08/05/2011 17:42

What are the complaints about the logo anyway? I love the artwork for gransnet.

jimswifein1964 · 08/05/2011 17:37

I realised after reading this, I own 2 items of Per Una clothing, and i am waaay off being a grandparent, and I like them.

Blatherskite · 08/05/2011 17:32

"Muuuuuuuummmmmm, she's picking on meeeeee"

kc0rns1lk · 08/05/2011 17:23

Yes I think gransnetters are going to be fierce!

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/05/2011 17:22

I suppose this is what we have to fear from Gransnet!

kc0rns1lk · 08/05/2011 17:20

fancy getting your mum on to defend you Grin

Blatherskite · 08/05/2011 17:13

TBH, when I first read the comment about putting the Granny in the logo on Per Una, I assumed it was a joke anyway. I never venture onto Style and Beauty (being neither stylish or beautiful Wink ) but even I know about the who Per Una being for grannies thing. It's like joking about Pom Bears or Boden, it's a MN thing.

Is it not?

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/05/2011 17:00

It's OK, Blatherskite - I think it's quite funny actually.

Both the OP and her mother have got the wrong end of the stick.

Blatherskite · 08/05/2011 16:53

Does this thread not constitute a personal attack? Totally out of order

usualsuspect · 08/05/2011 16:01

I'm a gran and wouldn't be seen dead in wear per una

now bon marche on the other hand......

TrillianAstra · 08/05/2011 15:58

I thought it was funny too.

The poster is either
a) making reference to the fact that Per Una is considered by a number of people on MN as being 'for grannies'
or
b) showing that gans do like Per Una, as is the accepted stereotype

So it is a funny comment either way.

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/05/2011 15:57

And I'm not a 'snobby cow', thank you very much, jangly - I think that was just a leetle uncalled for.

BecauseImWorthIt · 08/05/2011 15:54

I'm sorry if you felt hurt, jangly, that was not my intention at all. I was not laughing or pointing fun at you at all. I thought the comment was funny, given the multitudes of threads about Per Una on here.

I'm not sure why you think I was spying though - I'm on Gransnet with exactly the same name as I am here, and I have announced on Gransnet that I'm there from Mumsnet, so it's hardly cloak and dagger!

However, I suppose it can be seen as a 'thread about a thread', even if it was talking about one forum on another and so, for that, I apologise.

ExitPursuedByALamb · 08/05/2011 15:53

Que?

usualsuspect · 08/05/2011 15:52

this thread is a wind up right?

Hullygully · 08/05/2011 15:49

What a load of utter arse.

Mamaz0n · 08/05/2011 15:48

language? I don't remember swearing.

Mamaz0n · 08/05/2011 15:46

then I think you misunderstood.

I am not a member of gransnet and can only judge by the comment copied here. From that message i would say that BIWI was complimenting you on making a funny remark.

not really sure why you would be hurt or upset. nor why your daughter would feel the need to post this thread.

jangly · 08/05/2011 15:44

Mamazon I have "known" you for years via Mn and I am surprised you used that language.
