Am I going mad? I have just noticed the mumsnet logo is in purple and I'm fairly sure it was in dark blue before - has it changed or am I just spectacularly unobservant/going mad? Confused

Help!

I haven't even had any Wine so that's no excuse...
(or maybe that's the problem Wink)

FunnysInTheGarden · 08/03/2011 23:00

I was just wondering the very same thing, and I don't like it............

SoulDude · 08/03/2011 22:59

google looks good too.

Heroine · 08/03/2011 22:57

Oh hang-on I've just got why there were really creepy fawning ads all over the papers saing how much the EU wants women to be paid as much as men etc... I wondered what had started all the insincerity...

Heroine · 08/03/2011 22:54

I think it is in support of the AV Yes campaign isn't it? Their thing (at least I hope its their campaign not another spurious yes for something else!!) is a purple square (a bit like silk cut purple I was musing.. perhaps the marketing is done by someone who studied their craft in the 80s/90s???? :)

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 22:50

That video is rather good, isn't it?
I have just realised that Buzz Lightyear is in Suffragette colours (DS is waving him around)

add a little green - esp where the tory blue is. that would look priddy.

meditrina · 08/03/2011 22:33

Green White and Violet - for Give Women the Vote.

SoulDude · 08/03/2011 22:32

if I'm not mistaken, purple and green were the colours adopted by the sufferagettes.

Ah, I thought I was going mad for a while.

DontCallMeBaby · 08/03/2011 15:35

I'm also wearing a purple dress today. But then it's a notable day when I don't wear purple.

@Queefer the flares are the same as in the original Charlie's Angels logo that the MN one rips off pays tribute to.

MirandaWest · 08/03/2011 13:48

I have a purple top on.

Flisspaps · 08/03/2011 12:57
St Davids

just checking

QueeferSutherland · 08/03/2011 12:51

I am wearing a purple dress today. Should I pretend it's on purpose?

As an aside, has anyone noticed/mentioned that the mums are wearing bootleg jeans? I know flares are back in at the mo, but what about when they aren't? The last four years it has really irked me.

Now, I'm off to do something less vacuous....Blush

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 12:33

might try those instead - they're easier to turn over as well Grin

DD doesn't like pancakes too much but loves drop scones which are effectively the same except they're sweeter and thicker.

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 11:47

Show, I might just do that. Hope DS likes them - DH is away so if DS isn't keen I'll be eating a lot of pancakes myself! ShockGrin
