The bookmark feature making things jump - I don't like it.

I preferred it when there was a constant white space for the button. I find it distracting that the thread jumps around every time I scroll or move my mouse.

Might be just me though Grin

OK, the bookmarks are now driving me so mad that I'm going off to do something else. They are clickable on some kind of random basis although I'm sure it probably isn't random. Maybe its based on how the long the poster has been on MN, what time of day they posted or whether you agree with their post.

I've reported myself in an effort to get someone to 'deal' with the bookmarking problem. No reply as yet. It's soooo annoying not being able to bookmark! I might have to stop MNetting and do something...Shock

the bookmark button disappears when i move my mouse any further down a post than the first line. Glad it's stopped jumping aroudn though.

Oh, I have another question, I use ordinary MN on my phone, but I can only get the bookmark if there's a link in the post and I touch it once (enough to highlight it as a link, but not enough to click on it ifswim). Is it supposed to be like that, and so should I be using the mobile MN which Ive lost the link to?

I can't use my bookmarks either. The word 'bookmark' is appearing but I can't click on it as the word then disappears.

My bookmarks aren't workjing either - the thread has stopped loupin (Grin) but when I try to click on bookmark the tab vanishes. Helup pls

Still not working for me, the bookmark option only appears when I hover over the top bar with posters name/time etc but then disappears when I move off that so I can't actually click on it.

Sorry we kept you guys waiting. I promise I did fix it yesterday, but the techie elves didn't make the change live until today. We were having some problems with regards to posting special characters and that kinda took priority.

Should all be fixed now I hope. :)

Hello. We've done the fix now - thanks for your patience. We'll be releasing it at some point today, so not long to wait now.

If you can't bear the jumping around for one second longer, though, you can always take your Bookmarks function off by going to Customise and selecting "No" under Display bookmark links in Other options.

For the bookmark thingy, you have to be using "MN new." (Click "customise" to check/change.) Then scroll down to "Other options" and make sure that the last one says "yes".

You too can have threads loupin*.

*"loupin" is an old Scots word that mean "jumping". More colloquially, the phrase ends "wi' fleas".

moonstorm - if you hover over the post, a blue bookmark button appears in the bottom right hand corner, click on that, then make sure you have also clicked watch thread, or have posted on it so that it will appear in 'threads I'm on' or 'threads I'm watching' - next time you open the thread, you will be magically transported back to your bookmark!
