What's the policy on sockpuppets?

I've looked that the 'trolls' policy thing, but what exactly is the policy on sockpuppets? Is it considered trolling, or will HQ just ignore it?

Thanks. Smile

no idea but i have seen it a lot on another site I post on. it's always so obvious. The sock puppets agree with each other and spell the same words wron, but wrong in the same way.

Awww, I'm sure you do lovely packing.

I've never been in site stuff before - slightly amazed this thread got more than 2 replies.

I am not really pert. I am borderline saggy.

But never diss my packing. I am a fucking genius at packing.

PedlarsSockpuppet · 21/02/2011 14:15

yikes !

stealthsquiggle · 21/02/2011 14:14

no, PedlarsSP, you really don't want to know, trust me - it has to do with whether you calcluate disk capacity using powers of 2 or powers of 10 Hmm

JaneS · 21/02/2011 13:58

Pagwatch · 21/02/2011 13:53

Would a sock puppet who wandered the boards saying ' gosh pagwatch is charming and pert and very gifted at pithy one liners and holiday packing' be considered a bad thing?

PedlarsSockpuppet · 21/02/2011 13:53

oooh tell us the poncey obscurity pleeeeeeeeease SS

Clarnico - when posters A and B are having a barney, sometimes, a poster C will suddenly pop up to say 'ooh, wow, poster A is so wise'. Usually of course it's just because A and C naturally agree, but sometimes it's because poster A has done a swift namechange and posted appearing to agree with herself.

Such posters are called 'sockpuppets'.
