I see we have a new wine glass emoticon! Jolly good! But some of us would prefer a good old cup of tea.

Do you think you could cater for the likes of us too?

Lots of love,

Fresh cup of tea all round to celebrate!!

RamonaFlowers · 08/02/2011 22:10

Hurrah!

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 22:10

Well, I'm sincerely hoping there will be no need for vote-rigging! I'm not into those sort of underhand tactics myself. No, I'm sure those of us who love a hot beverage will speak! Onwards and upwards, and don't forget to vote when the time comes!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 22:08

Oooh. Democracy will prevail unless you manage to rig the vote.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 22:06

Actually Maud, my owner has promised he will always keep me, and I'm sure SoMuch will also look after me. I'm just so excited at the possibility of a

Thanks justine! Hurry up Helen.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 22:04

Ooooohhhh! Justine! Thank you so much!!!!

Now all we have to do is persuade all the lovely Mumsnetters to vote for it!

Oh, Norman. How would you feel

::places hand gently on your moulded plastic shoulder::

about being donated to a pre-school? Many of our old toys live on that way.

JustineMumsnet · 08/02/2011 22:02

We are planning to poll on this most serious of issues, on account of there being a corrosive and undermining split in opinion at the Towers - some say it's only natural, some say it's the start of the slippery slope...

Consequently HelenMumsnet has promised to build it tomorrow morn and then we shall let you, the Mumsnetters, decide. So, until tomorrow!

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:57

Ah well, never mind. Actually I'm quite worried about what will happen when my owner grows out of Playmobil...... Will I be abandoned in a cupboard somewhere - or - worse still...... thrown out!!! Shock

::Refills the mug::

Alas, my child's too old for Playmobil and what little she has lies untouched and neglected in the festering pit that is her bedroom. Apart from what disappeared up the Hoover years ago.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:46

There's no shame in only dabbling with Playmobil. Sooner or later you may get addicted to like it a bit more...

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:45

::proffers mug of strong tea with the teaspoon standing up on it::

We only dabbled with Playmobil in this house.

::ashamed::

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:44

Yay for the marmalade cake!

OP posts:
NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:43

Well, I'd love a cup of finest builders' tea, now you mention it....

OP posts:
stealthsquiggle · 08/02/2011 21:42

The marmalade cake sold very swiftly, Norman - outpaced only by the chocolate sandwich and victoria sandwich, which I am convinced were snaffled bought by the staff before they ever got near the cake stall Grin

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:41

Great! Bossy Ross has sent some over. Please help yourself to any of the items from this display cabinet

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:40

I've got some of the tea room Bolly (we never run out) if you'd like to share. Or a selection of our finest teas.

NormanTheForeman · 08/02/2011 21:39

I might be able to ask Bossy Ross for some buns from his cafe....

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:38

Lovely.

::takes a demure slice::

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:35

Sorry have found some angel cake

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:29

I think I have some jaffas somewhere

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:28

Thank you for the welcome. Do you have cake?

::hopeful::

LadyPumpington · 08/02/2011 21:27

Hi Maud and welcome!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/02/2011 21:26

Yes, it's very busy but that means it's OK to just jump in and out when it suits you. Nobody can keep up with every detail of what's going on!
