So where's the cup of tea emoticon then?

I see we have a new wine glass emoticon! Jolly good! But some of us would prefer a good old cup of tea.

Do you think you could cater for the likes of us too?

Lots of love,

Norman x

okay, that's fine - you can leave an hour.

NormanTheForeman · 04/02/2011 16:14

Ah, but nickel I tend to drink the tea at breakfast time, but have the actual breakfast a bit later Blush. I need the tea to wake my stomach up first!

Bugger Redbush, that's for girls.

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 04/02/2011 16:13

except that tastes horrible.... Grin

HelenMumsnet · 04/02/2011 16:12

Could be a nice cup of redbush, mebbe?

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 04/02/2011 16:12

you shouldn't drink tea with food, because it stops the blood absorbing iron.

NormanTheForeman · 04/02/2011 16:11

Actually I do like the Wine, but it is a bit unseemly to be using it all day, when a cuppa is much more the thing at breakfast time! And you could assume the cup contained coffee/hot chocolate/other hot beverage for the non-tea drinkers.....

I think MNHQ didn't think this one through, I would like to say that Wine glass emoticon is very insulting on a lot of levels, firstly are they implying we are a bunch of drunks? Secondly think of all the Muslims out there they don't want to be doing with a wine glass thingy thirdly what if you upset the AA brigade how would hq explain that?
Please MNHQ rethink and provide us with a teacup emoticon. Thank you.

NormanTheForeman · 04/02/2011 16:08

Ummm, yes! I'm happy when drinking tea! Grin And I'll be happy with a cuppa emoticon Grin

Until then I will have to revert to my real name and have some Wine

HelenMumsnet · 04/02/2011 16:07

I'd like tea - it'd be good on threads where you want to say 'there there' and calm them down.

NormanTheForeman · 04/02/2011 15:58

Come on all you peole who want a cuppa emoticon! Grin
