Pardon me, but why does Pizza Express in Richmond have to do with Mumsnet?

Pizza Express in Richmond are closed for some new relaunch. They have hordings obscuring the windows describing all the things they are going to be doing without saying anything at all and they reference Mumsnet.

So, MNHQ, what's happening?

And yes I know I am nosey but I am also a bit brazen

I assume we're talking about Richmond daan sarf? Otherwise I will volunteer to try it out if you need me to :o
Maybe it will be divided into many sub areas. There'll be the AIBU section where people are divided over whether their children should be allowed to get down and walk round, a Pedants' Corner where the huddled masses are deciding whether the one without tomato technically counts as a pizza or whether it should be in the speciality breads section of the menu, and a breast and bottle feeding section which has a pushchair park, a row of sling pegs, water coolers dotted around and hooter hiders to plonk on the heads of anyone who is tutting.

We need to do something naughty to get the attention of HQ so they respond!

CupcakesHay · 15/09/2010 22:31

maybe they're going to start selling MN pizzas....

"AIBU Pizza - plenty of chilli and extra spice"

"Living Abroad Pizza - Garlic, Ostrich and Houmous"

"Where are all the nice men Pizza - salami, more salami and plenty of meat"

Well I live nowhere near Richmond so I don't care

DunderMifflin · 15/09/2010 22:28

hahahassled!!

Hassled · 15/09/2010 22:27

Sorry - that was from Ewe's link. Those are the PR people.

"Take two people with assorted CVs:

A few years? web design.
A pinch of BBC radio.
A sprinkle of publishing, with a dash of Penguin.
A smidgen of trend strategy.
Then the pièce de résistance, strategy director, oh la la!
With a garnish of branding, tone of voice and naming.
A soupçon of BAFTA nomininations and D&ADs.
And a slug of words.
Whizz it all together.

Pour and serve."

JustAnotherManicMummy · 15/09/2010 22:24

But I expect it'll be a load of Boden-wearing yummy-mummies complaining and whispering about bumsex knocking back cheap wine and MNing on their ipads.

Oh I know what I like Grin

withorwithoutyou · 15/09/2010 22:23

A DJ in a pizza restaraunt?

Whyy?????????

JustAnotherManicMummy · 15/09/2010 22:21

Wow you lot have been busy!

If they have a crèche, comfy seats & free decent chilled white wine with every pizza I'd go.

Hell I'll go almost anywhere for crèche facilities!

Link here - but what does it mean?

EccentricaGallumbits · 15/09/2010 22:18

so glad they have a director of accoustics involved. our local is tiled top to bottom and it's like eating in a bathroom.

anonymousbird · 15/09/2010 22:16

Do MNers get free pizza? If not, you have a riot on your hands!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 15/09/2010 22:10

and bunting

lots of bunting

sethstarkaddersmum · 15/09/2010 22:08

nah, it'll be a bog-standard pizza express with a couple of computer terminals permanently set to Mumsnet....

MrsTayto · 15/09/2010 22:04

There will be tablecloths.

Oh yes.

PaulineCampbellJones · 15/09/2010 22:04

Does it have parent and child parking that machine guns people if they don't have a child.
And Boden material seats and everything?

MIssAnneThrope · 15/09/2010 22:02

It's going to be a themed pizza. 'The Mumsnet Ladygarden'.
Version 1: LOTS of rocket all over, a little olive in the middle and FREE BEER.
Version 2: a miserable vertical landing strip line of brazilian tuna, a little olive in the middle and smug little half-glass of free warm wine.

Hassled · 15/09/2010 21:59

I've been told there will be random bunches of grapes everywhere, just to see if we nick them and say nothing.

When you get the bill you'll find there is also a report from a secret panel of experts in which you, your clothes, your boots and the behaviour of your DCs will have been thoroughly judged.

bundle · 15/09/2010 21:56

i see richmond won the blandest high st award in the standard tonight

BoysAreLikeDogs · 15/09/2010 21:51

oh lolo at you lot

MrsTayto · 15/09/2010 21:47

They're making P&T table mats and if the waiter/tress puts your pizza down in the wrong place you get to scream at them.

There'll be one called G&T which will be a circle of dough with a big glass of gin and tonic in the middle so you can knock it back while listening to some bore droning on about how their dc just isn't being stretched (unlike the dough, har har) and what level is your dc on ORT or isn't he reading yet?

BigBadMummy · 15/09/2010 21:43

Pizza with a sausage roll on top and a "kids menu"
