Why do you persist in foisting that inane 'Twitter' box on this site? Why would want to 'tweet' when I am on here?

Tee2072 - explain it then....

Tell me one good reason why we should Twitter.

Even the name irritates me.

Tee2072 - I'll have you know I have been typing with two fingers since before the internet was invented. I was using a ZX Spectrum before Bill Gates was shaving.

I refuse to join the 21st Century!

MN is like a Boeing 747. It looks like it was invented in the 1960s but it works. I dont want to fly in a modern plane made of recycled plastic stitched together with elecronics I dont understand anymore than I want to go on Trwitter. Grin

TheDoodler · 19/08/2010 08:06

go on Twitter that was meant to say.

TheDoodler · 19/08/2010 07:58

Also - i can't go no Twitter about something on here that's specific as it's my real name iyswim...

Tee2072 · 19/08/2010 07:58

Really? Really?

You can't understand what it says?

::shakes head::

Nothing worse that Luddites posing as internet users.

Come into the 21st Century. You'll be much happier here with us. I promise.

SwansEatQuince · 19/08/2010 07:55

I have never ventured into Twitter as

I don't quite get it and
Don't see the point.

It appears to be electronic clutter.

TheDoodler · 19/08/2010 07:48

Don't worry - they'll fill it with an advert Grin...

BeenBeta · 19/08/2010 07:43

Gaaaah! Blush

Now I've created a big whte gap on MN with that last post.

ButterpieBride · 19/08/2010 07:35

The bits at the side annoy me as DD1 demands to know what they all are.

BeenBeta · 19/08/2010 07:27

Oh thank goodness its not just me.

Its like reading Coptic script. I keep looking at it and thinking "what does that actually mean?

Isn't it just repeating what is on the threads but in less intelligible way?

Come over to Twitter and join us! See what it's all about!

bibbitybobbityhat · 18/08/2010 18:24

Yes, but ... if its really mindless, why are so many Mnetters tweeting more or less all the time and never posting on here any more?

I am as old sceptical as the rest of you, but there must be some attraction to tweeting that the rest of us just don't "get".

EccentricaGallumbits · 18/08/2010 18:22

yet quite amusing when read wrongly

MumsnetTowers Staff caught tampering benefits records.

all those annoyingly flashing nastythings are useless and crap. ditch the lot.

My MN local have been advetrtising 2 events - one in 2007 and one in 2015for years.
