why is 'aibu' in ananswered and not 'chat'

And, erm, I don't know the answer to that one, I'm afraid. I suspect it has some eminently sensible historical reason, though.

Shall try to find out for you. But, it being the summer hols and all, it may take me a wee while...

Threads posted in 'chat' that haven't been answered are not listed in 'unanswered messages'...

Has always bugged me too.

If you review the list of unanswered threads by selecting the link from the top of the page, you will note that there are no chat threads listed, even if there are chat threads without replies.

Is it because AIBU thread tend to be redundant (i.e. the OP knows they are BU and so does everyone else so no bugger bothers answering?) Wink
