You had a chance to put a stop to the dodgy little lying, pathetic twat and you blew it.

Now we have to listen to his bollocks and hate inducing garbage for longer.

9,000 people voted for a bin rather than this swindler.

He can’t even bring himself to come to your town to accept the vote. He is laughing at you.

Real “man of the people’ - why can’t you see that he doesn’t give a crap about you or your problems?

Oh well at least the investigation into the £5mill can resume.

What a fucking waste of time and money. Disgusting. Disappointed in you guys. 🙈

Come on OP, did you really think the result would be any different? Count Binface is very funny and actually seems like a nice chap, but it is just a joke. I'm quite impressed he got as many votes as he did!

He is less of a joke than Farage. And far less dangerous for society. Farage has done nothing for Clapton. So even if Bin Face did nothing he’d be better as he’s funny and not a racist, misogynistic, self-serving posh twat.

LondonLass61 · 14/08/2026 19:51

I saw a recent interview with a Clacton resident who said that he knew Farage did nothing for them, but that he was still going to vote for him ‘to annoy the Lefties’

Yes I think I might have done the same 😊

I thought this was an A-Level results thread about minimum grades for the University of Clacton.

Nuthatch26 · 14/08/2026 19:07

He won, and increased his vote share. I have no idea how you can paint that as a failure.

You and others might not like or agree with him, but the people of Clacton quite clearly do!

So they’re sending him straight back to the Parliamentary Standards Committee. There really is no downside to this for those of us who find him and his party loathsome.

SemperIdem · 14/08/2026 20:06

It was absolutely idiotic of the other mainstream parties to not stand. What other outcome did anybody expect?

Would you like to be represented in serious matters by “Count Binface”?

I’m no Farage fan, but he is at least a real, recognisable person not a faceless comedic entity.

It’s not either/or. But the trend will of course be different post Brexit. Migration is one thing and asylum seekers are another.

Why do you think so many of our doctors are recent migrants? Doctors who come from the UK and read medicine here do not want to work for the NHS because they never see their children. So they go to places like Australia.

We need migrants to fill jobs that people in the uk don’t want to do. Like care work, for example. Surely you can see that?

I remember it was spoken about a lot in the lead up to Brexit that we would be having migrants from other places that people might find more problematic than Poland for reasons of ‘culture’ or maybe because they’re brown.

And many Polish migrants went back when they realised they aren’t welcome, here. Who steps into those jobs?

Edited

There were plenty of non-white people who applied to the EU Settlement Scheme. One million applicants were not born in the EU (secondary migration - around 60% had acquired EU passports + accompanied by their non-EU family members). More than 600,000 applicants were born in Africa or Asia (2022 figures).

Are you saying the people of Clacton only voted for Farage to deliberately undermine him? That's far fetched.

I disagree. They didn't dance to Farage's tune. It was the right decision.

You may well be right regarding the motivation of some who voted for Farage, but I’m very dubious that is the overwhelming reason.

Of course not. They haven’t got the wit to do that. That’s the effect though. Like I said no downside.

Yes. Let’s trash society and create a fertile ground for racism and misogyny just to piss some people off. Great idea.

No, they did exactly the right thing. Why would they waste resources on this ridiculous, narcissistic, jamboree when they’re going to have to do it again in another couple of months if he’s found guilty on not declaring five million quid in loose change handed to him by a crapto billionaire?

The other benefit of this approach is that they have given Count Binface a platform to really promote the importance of democracy and he’s done that brilliantly and on a global stage. 44% is a high turnout for a local election and without him 30 odd percent would have been more likely. The other thing it has done is that it is trashed Farage’s credibility and I’m sure there are a few worried faces in reform today. Luckily for Farage they can’t depose him as he owns the company and can pull the plug on tomorrow if he sees fit.

Farage was the establishment candidate in spite of his mewlings and a complete outsider with no track record of government managed to get over a quarter of the vote. On paper it looks like a good result but if it had been convincing Farage would have been at the count result and all over the media doing interviews today. As it was, the best he could manage was sending in his nice but dim henchman, 30p Lee, who proceeded to slag off the police, arguably one of their biggest voter sectors.

And on that note - I really am sick to the back teeth of Farage.I hope he fucks off on holiday for for a while so the rest of us can get a bit of peace.

Hows Andy Pandy getting on with his stop the boats pledge?
I'll wait......

Andy Pandy doesn’t want to stop the boats . Let’s hazard a guess that before a general election all these illegals get the right to remain and hey presto he’s increased his voter share .
All the narrative about we’re doing our best it’s complicated is rubbish all he has to do is withdraw incentives to come here, no accommodation, no money nothing and the numbers will fall .

Exactly, none of this is extreme, none of this is racist, it's all well within the capability of a competent Labour government that actually listens to the concerns of its people.

But they lack the political will. They see the migrants as their future voters and that dictates all their policies.

That’s ridiculous bollocks. Do you know how many Labour seats are hanging by a thread because they have high immigrant populations? Check out what happened to Jess Philips in 2024.

Your whole tone was condescending to the vulnerable adult in your anecdote, e.g. 'He was confused and repeated that his parents voted Conservative so he wanted to vote Conservative.'

A perfectly valid reason to vote for any political party.

I realise you might struggle not to impose your opinion on someone vulnerable, but i don't

Whatever gave you that idea.

He would not have met the test for legal capacity to.make decisions about e.g. his finances or medical decisions (he doesn'thave that capacitylegally). But he can still vote without any test of legal capacity to understand, remember and use information to make a decision about voting.

I am surprised you advocate this.

Labour's vote has been eaten into by growing sectarianism but they do see 'immigrant populations' as their natural supporters. That's why one of Burnham's first actions was to declare support for Gaza. The fact that those communities don't always dance to Labour's tune is something that they are having to grapple with.
