Very nervous to TTC after a miscarriage but am going for it

oh - 4 weeks then, i guessed right.

excuse half-sentence in last post, was typing while on phone! multi-tasking....

yes i feel a biarrze need to go out alot. i cant tho -many children!-but feel like i should be doing so. maybe its a hormonal thing? good excuse!!
as thers only something like a 5% of getting pg first cycle (before af) after op i think you have way better odds having had af. something like 20%. so to me your odds sound fabulous, but i guess 20% to you might sound little!!
just keeping telling myself that if we want a christmas/december baby, its next month i have to catch the eggie anyhow. but it still felt crap to watch only line appear. sigh.
have baked my heart out this morning.......its like therapy for me, baking, and kitchen is now awash with falpjacks, traybakes, and cup cakes!

well i think my 2ww starts soon...never can tell cosmy af is up the wall..lol but lmp1st day was 3rd feb sooo....have been getting v.busy with DH at least one of us has got to get pg this month ..got to got to got to...so heres some sticky baby dust

feeling abit sick now after flapjack. ahh well. have to go out and put films in developers and pick up paper (god my life sounds exciting, i have done more than make flapjacks and buy a paper today!!!)
telling myself will test sun/mon and then WAIT (hmmmmm, word I'm not comfortable with!!!) for one week, test again, wait one week, test again..until af arrives or i drive myself completely dooolally.
everyone elses plans for wk/end & week after are....(tell me if these are wrong....)

DQ its weird being a sahm as sometimes the smallest change feels like oyu have done loads...lol..each day is generally routine..

DH starts 2 weeks leave from work tonight so at least should hopefully be busy for the 2ww Just need to try and work out when AF will be due..then try to hold off the testing..lol

ooooh bella, sounds scandalous! but, then again, maybe some sites do need 'donations' but then again AGAIN(!) none of us have had such an email....hmmmm.plot thickens!!
mishi -have you tried that www.conception store ovulation calendar yet? v good at helping you 'aim' for the right bd-ing days (nights?) and when to test etc etc. might help you too bella, with good info to put into dhs palm (that still makes me snigger..... )

Went mad & bought a thermometer yesterday as waiting for ferning is driving me nuts already. Not sure what I'm looking for so might miss it!

Surely I can't get taking a temp wrong ??? I'm going to be asking lots of very daft questions when it arrives though.

I think I have the record for the earliest PG test - 17 days post op!!!! Weird I know but just kinda wanted to know that I wasn't showing pg still so that I will definitely know when I get a BFP (does that make any sense or is it that I'm just going mental??) Still got a bit of (how do I put this?) brownish blood so I've decided that I've had my AF really early and TTC is officially started.

Exciting weekend of painting ahead for me and also attacking DP, just in case the ferning hasn't worked!!

hey george good luck with temps, check out fertility friend website for hows and whens........help yourself to flapjack -have baked sooo much stuff the family arent eating it all anymore! got great recipe for cakey thing covered in nuts, lumps of chocolate, cinnammon and sugar......you would eat the whole tin its SO nice.....well okay maybe thats just me!!! could always turn this thread into womans own and put in recipes!?LOL
done bath, face pack, foot pampering etc tonight, theres bugger all on telly -after eastenders of course-and needed to feel good, or better at least.

sounds like a pricey patio area!!! we got a quote much the same for leveling our large garden, thats before all the 'pretty' bits. still havent done it. always something else we could do with that sum. or even a third of that sum

recipe for cakey choclate/nut/cinnnamon square thingys
(pinched from good food mag, and then 'adapted', ala DQ!)

cakey part
175g butter,
200g caster sugar, pref the golden one
175g plain flour
3 eggs
3tbsp mmilk
1 tsp baking powder
topping part
100g milk and dark choc,(thats approx 100g altogether, in whatever split you prefer, a 60 dark 40 milk myself....)chopped roughly
2tsp cinnamon
100g light muscovado (or castersugar /brown sugar mix if youve run out, cant be arsed to go to shops etc...)
85g+ nuts,chopped or bashed with rolling pin. pecan/hazel/almond whatever you fancy, dont think just peanuts will cut it tho..

heat oven to 180c (gas 4)
grease square tin, the sort you make brownies in is perfect. obviously you can use round tins too!! about 30cm diameter ish, it stretchs tho.
throw cake ingredients into bowl, use electric hand mixer to whizz it all together, until creamy
tip into tin and spread across.
mix topping ingredients together and scatter across cake part. lightly press down to compact.
bake for around 40mins until risen and turning dark golden.
cool in tin before cutting into squares. and eating lot. looks alittle 'lumpy' homemadeish, but OH! i like the taste of this
apparently keeps for about four days tho theres never any around long enough in our house!

I have been out this morning with ds to see winnie the pooh live and he amazingly sat and watched it all..a mean feat for a 16mth old...was reallly good so would recommend it...dh has started hol leave for 2 weeks and is full of cold...arghh am hoping to get some last min bding in over weekend before my 2 ww but man ful of cold does not bode well for me...lol

Definitely siding with the baking rather than exercise dvds. I'm sure baking could be considered exercise, so I can make these then feel totally justified when eating the lot!!! I'm sure I'm putting on more weight now than if I was p/g.

Had to put the painting on hold today (decorating my dads house before we put it on the market so not the nicest job in the world) as the car had a service & discovered I had 4 illegal tyres - ooops!! One was past the rubber & through the canvas and had bits sticking out of it - well, how was I to know? Been chasing round trying to find some replacements so I can actually drive to the house & paint tomorrow.

Thermometer arrived today so I have my first temperature - hurrah!! Very excitely put it in my chart. Think the novelty might have worn off by the time the chart means anything. No sign of ferning again - surprise, surprise!

mishi - typical! the cold i mean, sods law i think its called!!

george - glad you got the thermo, its quite interesting seeing how much your temps vary - especially if you've been drinking the night before, LOL, it makes your temp rise so much you look like you've just hit luteinizing hormone surge big time! luckily you need three raised temps to show you've ovulated, so unless you are on a 3 day weekend binge it shouldnt muck your chart up too much!

Honestly, 6 weeks off the booze & I can't drink more than a couple of glasses before I fall over - total lightweight now!!

I think I have to start baking them - people in the shop give me funny looks with the amount I buy!! Surely if I buy just ingredients they won't suspect that I am eating like a horse.......(a big round sweet toothed one!)
