For those who want to look to the future and TTC again I would really like some support, advice etc.
I thought we needed a new thread with positive energy (yes have turned into chanting hippy) so that we feel we are moving forward rather than dwelling on what has already passed.
The only thing I can concentrate on at the moment is that next Wed is the day that me and DH can start trying again (this will be 2 weeks after ERPC).
Anyone else ready to try again?

Hi guys
back from Ireland - missed you all though perturbed by baking - though I have to admit to a few Aga fantasies myself though picture it warming newborn lambs rather than flapjack
Had a graet time - kids up mountains and on beaches and not too much whinging. Stayed with my friend who has 4 minus DHs so lots of girly chats and wine consumed
she had a missed m/c between 2 and 3 at 16 wks
im trying not to join the ttcing at present - saving my energies for next month as not in frame of mind at present
im 4 weeks post op on Tues dq so were about the same - no AF though still intermittent bleeding, it was 6 weeks for me last time
lol, see you all soon

romilly · 19/02/2005 19:24

well you know where to get your recipes from this is a multi-tasking thread, learning to bake and conceive simultaneously.

as for me, i'm with jerry hall on the domestic front (for anyone who doesnt know, her mother advised her that to keep your man you have to be a maid in the house, a chef in the kitchen and a whore in the bedroom - jerry replied she'd hire the chef and the maid but look after the bedroom department herself ) oh, i just had a thought, that didnt exactly work out for poor old jerry!

romilly · 19/02/2005 19:26

welcome back hereshoping - glad to hear someone else has been imbibing

dramaqueen72 · 19/02/2005 21:19

pmsl!!!ROMILLY!yes thats what we do here! learn to bake and concieve at the same time, fabulous!!! we should start a new thread called that!!
Rom -YOU DONT BAKE???! shock horror!! its the only slightly 'stepford' thing about me, actually. (tho working on jerry's bedroom manner with the required bding.) TBH dh would LOVE to come home to just egg beans and chips.....i dont think he fully appreciates thai crusted cod or similar that i make ........ hes never happier than when he gets gravy or beans FGS. LOLseriuosly tho, baking/cooking is a hobby of mine, sad as it may seem to some of you, like you may...er....knit? collect stamps? rollerskate? -i bake. and paint arty stuff (nothing as practical as walls, not often anyhow...) so i have a billion recipes up my sleeve. y'all shout if you want one i am no nigella (shes thinner, richer and far more sexy than me when covered in cookie dough...) but i'm dhs next best thing!!!
Heres- ireland sounds fab, does your firend want start B&B for us mumsnetters?? cause i'm packing at your description! welcome back, to us mad mad lot. missed you.
george am also lightweight with drink now, after being pg with dd2, then bfing for eternity....i used to be abit of ared wine fiend, now one or two glasses and i'm anyones! or more worryingly EVERYONES!!!LOL
er..your tyres sound SCARY! for heavens sake be careful girl!!
mishi i hope dhs cold is not 'man flu'- sigh. dh gets this -everytime i get a cold he has one worse. grrrrr.... tell him the last minute bding cannot wait, and you will make him lemsip AFTER!!! hope hes better for some of his break.
oooh tell me about winnie being so entracing to 16mth old, have wriggly 21mth old so may look it up and see if its coming my way.
bella hun, hope youre having a fab weekend too.
there was poss pink/brown/red tinge when i went to the loo today , can you believe i think af is here tomorrow -bang on time if so. am EXCITED by prospect (wtf??) and keen to start new conception store calendar if its not af am shooting self.

george32 · 19/02/2005 21:53

Voting for "learn to bake & conceive" thread!!

Intrigued by what strange people would look at the thread & think "yes, thats where I should be!!" (obviously apart from us (DQ, receipe for Flapjack now please!!)

Hi Heres, does that mean that the kids were up mountains whilst you were on the beach?? No wonder there was no whinging!!
Please don't tell me intermittant spotting isnt af - I'm banking on that!!

Please don't shoot yourself DQ it can't be that bad (plus, need the receipe for Flapjack!!)
I'm imagining everyone else is out for the night, so hope you have a good one. xxx

Bella23 · 20/02/2005 07:49

Up early - will explain later..
Have got recipe DQ so am going to go to Sainsburys to buy ingrediants, I have the day to myself so domestic goddess here I come!!
Will e-mail when i get back.........lord up at 7.50am, with no kids and will be in sainsburys before 9 - with no kids as an excuse that just makes me sad!
dq - Think you should start the new thread as suggested by George!!

mishi1977 · 20/02/2005 09:45

george maybe i should cat you my flapjack recipe..I've taken some serious ribbing over giving our recipes here......
v excited to be on cycle day one. am pretty sure excitement about af will wear off very soon!!! but it feels like a fresh start. shes not here yet, just spotting v slightly but she'll have moved in by teatime i can tell. excited started new conception store calendar last night. have HOT fertitlity dates marked down. bella -thinking of buying dh a palm just for those... i asked him if he had a diary/filafax at work, and he siad 'nope just a wallplanner' much giggling ensued about putting fertile dates on staff walllplanner.......LOL
of course theres 'no' pressure. just getting pg in march would make that dec baby we want....aaaggghhhh!!!

yingers74 · 20/02/2005 15:48

Hello all, my u have been busy. Hope you all have had a good weekend.

Hmmmmmm bake and conceive sounds like a good idea to me.

Just found out a cousin of ours is pregnant and am surprised that I feel quite jealous, have been feeling rather angry of late and have to work hard not to take it out on dh, don't know where this rush of anger is coming from! Perhaps hormones!

Oh and can I say that rom is not alone, i also don't bake. I am going through a phase of cooking, cooking, cooking, I mean I have brought about 3 new cook books in the last year. My dh is rather chuffed at eating home made soup etc but I just cannot bake it always goes wrong, I leave it to my best mate who is a bit of an expert, she is even making my dd's b-day cake as I am really useless.

Bella23 · 20/02/2005 16:48

DQ - quite right Sainsbury's doesn't open until 11 on a Sunday and yes I was a sad case that was in the car park at 9 to find this out!!
I had to drop DH off for a course he's doing this weekend hence being up early.
Well I have been DIYing like a demon, have been painting skirting boards, putting up a curtain rail and painting a wall - thought it best to keep myself busy whilst all friends are round at BF's house celebrating her pregnancy!

Yingers - the green-eyed monster just rears its ugly head without warning - i have found (like DQ) that voicing these feelings really helps. Its like once you admit you feel that way its a bit better and not such a bad thought!

DQ - congrats on AF - the ttc can now start in earnest. We've all really managed to get through the last few weeks of truly horrible shit and now good news is on the horizon - bring it on!!

Mishi and George - don't bake! Come now, we'll have you in that kitchen before long with one of DQ's top tips!!

Well hope you are all having a good weekend

OP posts:
Bella23 · 20/02/2005 16:49

Oh yes and have bought ingrediants for DQ cakey thing so will be trying that tonight....yum

OP posts:
romilly · 20/02/2005 17:22

this is now officially the Stepford Thread. i'm gonna have to start a revolution - or at least a mini protest

heres my thought for the day - if you baked a few less cakes girls - then you wouldnt have to do all those exercise dvds

and here goes my HOT TTC tip for the day:

less baking (plus shopping and washing up) and less exercise hours = oodles of extra quality time with d/h nudge, nudge, say no more....

yingers74 · 20/02/2005 18:24

But Rom I don't bake and I still NEED to use those exercise vids! Any advice for me?

romilly · 20/02/2005 18:39

Ummmm.......stealth bulimia?

sorry yingers this interminable wait is starting to get me i think, just ignore me!!

on cd24 and trying NOT to think about testing - AF apparently due on wednesday if FF is to be believed..
gotta hold out 'til at least then methinks

when would any of you guys test?

dramaqueen72 · 20/02/2005 18:49

yesterday. i cannot wait. ever. buy ultra early tests and test often. my bf got a neg 10dpo and then a Positive 12dpo, so frankly if it can change in 48hrs i'm for testing often!!! however i am NOT rational so dont ask me!!!

dramaqueen72 · 20/02/2005 18:53

TODAY I BAKED
citrus crusted scones.
marmalade chicken (+quorn for me)
am stepford chef!!
i DONT do any dvd exercise thingys, that prob my problem, tho in this house, with three children, one dh, and inlaws forever at the door i NEVER get anything left five minutes after i made it. so would actually be nice to eat something myself. the only exercise i do is running after dd, and chivying big dd and ds along, walking dog. its enough, am not shaped like house. small shed maybe but not house....
(aiming to be shaped like house tho.... full of baby not cake!)

mishi1977 · 20/02/2005 20:54

hi
rom i would wait till thurs...but thats me

dq i wish i could bake but i take the lazier option and let the superstore bake for me

Well i did manage to cox dh into a little bit of bding so shall see but i dont think this is our month tbh....need to work out when im due af again but i really not holding out hope for some reason...evne tho i have managed to bd at least every other if not every...sigh
Hopefully be an dec bubs for me
take care

yingers74 · 20/02/2005 21:07

Rom, i too would have tested yesterday, I also really really lack patience on this issue and to make it worse I am imagining pregnancy symtoms, felt a bit queesy today so seriously considered testing but then started to feel better!!!!

How soon can you use those ultra tests after b-ding? Have ordered some more from e-bay!

dramaqueen72 · 20/02/2005 21:17

ordered some more yingers? how many you used! they are supposedly good for ten days post O. i think -without going to read pack (upstairs) i hope your pg signs are very real. fingers crossed.
mishi -are you mad?!! everyother day is PERFECT for a BFP! i hope its good for you. a NOVEMBER baby for you i think! when are you due to test????i shall count down with you guys.
my af is weird. what was evryone like first time after op? heavy? light? same? mines feeble!! i hope its 'proper' af cause i'm counting my cycle from here!!!!!!

yingers74 · 20/02/2005 21:25

DQ - Don't ask, I have been a bit trigger happy with them as they were such a bargain!

And yes it would be lovely but I really do think my symtoms are in my head and a reaction to hearing about someone getting pregnant!

mishi1977 · 20/02/2005 21:45

right...according to fertility friend i should be o ing now based on CM etc...lol
So am due AF 5th march according to my pre mc cycle....that has just taken me a good hour to work out..pmsl
Luckily enough i have bd nearly every day of ov...so we shall see..would be nice for nov as ds is 2 in oct and its my bday in dc and wedding anni on 10th
oh well we shall see

mishi1977 · 20/02/2005 21:47

meant to say yingers...must cost a fortune in testing..lol...i have my 10 i bought post op and still not tested and they r 10 dats post conception ones so am gonna try and hold out although i have been itiching this week only so i can get a neg so i know a pos is a true pos

Bella23 · 21/02/2005 09:25

Morning ladies.
So we have some testers this week....Rom, you are first I think. Will be keeping everything crossed - no pressure obviously
Have started ov testing and bding just to get into practice. Plan is to bd every other day for the next 2 weeks with an extra one when the ov tests show a +ve. Am sooooooo determined!!

Positive baby dust to you all..........

OP posts:
yingers74 · 21/02/2005 09:31

bella - tah for the dust! And wow you will be a busy as well as tired bunny!

mishi - it was far worse until someone, dq i think, mentioned ebay. At least now tests don't cost me a fiver each!!!

mishi1977 · 21/02/2005 10:04

yingers it was me who said about ebay sprry..lol..i get 5 for 3.50 pmsl
