If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length
WFT cycle = what the f*uck cycle (cycle after mc but before first AF)
For more accronyms see here

Good luck to all ? The last one was a lucky thread for lots of people so here's hoping for lots more healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread Grin

This is the previous thread

Stats to follow.

collie i wouldn't worry too much about your temps. It doesn't have to be a huge jump to show ov. you had +ve opks and ewcm, i would have said that would have been a good sign. if you are worried though keep temping for another cycle and see what happens then (if not bfp, i am Envy of your stamina) the more info you have if you do want to go see a dr the better.

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 12:21

Hmm Your chart doesn't show any real clear signs of ovulation collie (that's not to say you didn't) and I would have thought that, despite you having long cycles, you are quite away through your cycle so I doubt you will ovulate now (although it's obviously not unheard of) Out of interest, and forgive me if you have mentioned it before, but have you had any GP advice about your cycles? If you have another month of vagueness and no real ovulation pattern then I would suggest getting it checked out. My cycles were always prolonged and I only ovulated sporadically before PCOS was diagnosed. I am not suggesting you have this by any stretch but still worth getting it checked out? Sorry, that was a bit of a doom response wasn't it Blush

Collie2 · 08/03/2011 12:01

Ok, so my temps are still bothering me. It did rise today, but really not very high at all. In fact I took it 3 times (straight after) and got a reading of 97.73, 97.84 and 97.84 and when I put my first (lower) reading in it didn?t find my ovulation date and apply the crosshairs. However when I put the 97.84 reading it in did, so I left the 2nd reading in even though I know I shouldn?t just because I wanted to see the crosshairs Blush I am thinking I need to change it back as I have been reading up and it seems you can have EWCM and a +ive opk but no ovulation. So maybe I didn?t ov?? I know my last cycle was my wtf cycle but my temperatures were significantly higher that what they are now, and my current temps really don?t look any higher than earlier in the month to me. cep I know what you are saying about the reliability of the information I?ve put into ff (I was being a bit facetious when I said ff was not reliable) and its why over the weekend I didn?t pay much attention to it. But I did get a (almost) full nights sleep last night and had no alcohol etc so I was really hoping for a decent rise. If anyone is really bored you can have have a look
I know there isn?t much I can do about it. Its just really frustrating not knowing what?s going on and if I need to keep swi or if I can relax now until knowing the ?window of opportunity? has passed.
Melies and mumtum was it you that said your OH didn?t want you to use opks or to take your temperature because it takes the fun out of ttc? I was chatting about this to my DH as I think it is a little unreasonable and wanted his male view. He could see their perspective a bit, as he had similar feelings, but said it was more to do with worrying that I would get --obsessed?stressed about it. (never Grin ) I said, the way I see it is after mc, ttc again has already lost the fun element and with or without opks or temperature taking, I am still going to get obsessed about it, but at least at the end of the month if I don?t get a bfp I?ll be able to know that we did all the right things and the right times. He seemed to understand this. As cep also said, you also know when you can stop as I am emotionally exhausted from the run up to ovulation (if it happened!!). Sorry, I don?t know if this helps, or is more of a rant, but maybe it might help your OH see your point of view.

Blush oops!

MumTumWanted · 08/03/2011 09:39

yay for olis I was feeling very down this morning hence popping on here whilst at work and this cheered me up straight away !!!

collie and melies i was lucky that no one at work knew and i havent had to deal with anyone very close to me announcing they are expecting the same date but i suspect i would be finding it very diffuclt having to deal with that , even when i watched Holly Willoby on TV i get the Envy wash over me and i dont even know her !

I really dont know where my body is at ... Im afraid i have no will power and can only be defined as a dreranged POASaholic. I brought another 2 yesterday morning , did one and got a BFN and this morning again BFN. Boobs arent sore still no headache but DPO15!!!! actually due date for AF is today. Ive been having cramping for 4 days now which i dont usually suffer with before af and ive had lower back pain. but defo still no BFP Sad Confused and no idea what my temps mean i think this is the right link if any of you have any suggestions???

My Ovulation Chart

hope you all have a great day , to try and cheer me up my mum and sis and i are going wedding dress shopping this afternoon, ( Wedding not til april next year ! but we thought it would be fun Wink Grin

olismum23 · 08/03/2011 09:34

I took 2 tests bfn to me with more concentrated urine although DH is convinced he can still see 2 positives either way it should have got brighter this morning. I am truley devestated maybe its just something these tests do :(:(:(:(

Collie2 · 08/03/2011 09:14

Yay for olis (sorry I have just realised at some point I started calling you oils Blush ) a line is a line Hun, so it sounds like you're up the duff!!! : Smile another bfp for the thread!!! Let's keep them coming!

chloe yes the link works. Your chart looks good, I think the dip you had Sunday could poss be an implantation dip. I lurked on thecommon room thread b4 their bfp's and stalked looked at their charts and their dip looked like that Smile the nausea and sensitive smell is a good sign too. I am so hoping this is it for you x

melies sorry to hear about your pg colleague. I have exactly the same thing. Lady I work with on a few projects announced she was pg on my first day back after mc. She is a week ahead of my dates. Had to spend the morning with her last week. She doesn't know, but it still hard watching her belly grow, she's nearly 22 wks now.

I know what you mean about her not mentioning your mc too. I saw a close friend on Saturday who i haven't seen or spoken to since mc- not even a text to see how I am. She didn't mention it at all. Just made some naf comment to my dh about not finding out until late on, like it was common knowledge and she had been left out in the dark. Really annoyed me. If fact the whole mc has made me look again and who I thought my friends are.

Good morning.

shorty I hope your day gets better x

Chloe the sensitivity to smells sounds promising!

The rest of my shift was ok. I was working on my own for most of it with the pg collegue, (the unit is split into intensive care, a small intensive care room with only 4 babies, that's where we were, high dependency and 2 nurseries) apart from drs going in and out and of course the babies but they don't chat much! So given that being pg is a huge part of her life ATM the subject came up a lot...it reminded me that I was meant to have my 16 week appointment next week and then the next scan...plus she was talking about what food she's missing, i was meant to be doing that stuff too! Im dreading watching that bump grow, altho I'm happy for her I wanted it for me too :(.

Anyway, it's bedtime for me so see you all later x

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 08:31

Does this work for my chart?

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/334759

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 08:27

It is possible to have cramps with pg, all of my pgs have begun with cramps and I know what you mean about feeling sick, cleaned out my nan's fridge yesterdaya nd had to stop to try and control the wretching so it didn't turn into vomiting, have done the same today at home whilst loading the dishwasher. I am def not normally this sensitive to smells but just not sure if it's all in my head!

shorty100 · 08/03/2011 08:15

Congrats oli, thats brill news. Still no af chloe, got bad cramps though so may come today but was still feeling sick this morning. Not sure if can get bad cramps if pregnant! Had an argument with dh last night cus he doesn't understand and have no one else to talk to as none of my family know. He thinks I am being impatient but its not him having to feel like this everyday. Not having a good day. X

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 08:11

In that case I may even watch it for inspiration.

cep · 08/03/2011 07:53

just a quickie to say oli congrats, a line is a line, especially when done so late at night.

chloe last night there was a woman who'd had 4 mc's finally giving birth to a healthy boy. sorry you had a wobble yesterday it's horrible when it hits especially when you're not expecting it. hope you're feeling better today. it's good that you have the option for clomid.

mel like chloe said she probably doesn't want to upset you. hope you're ok.

hello to everyone else.

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 06:52

That's great news olismum Grin

Meliesmum It's sad that your workmate has mentioned anything but she probably has no idea what to say without upsetting you further given the situation she is in now. I know it's no excuse but sometimes people deal with these things badly despite good intentions. Sad

Cep I've watched a few baby/birth/midwife programs but I'm still not there yet for OBEM, this minute I get my BFP I will be on 4OD watching the lot Grin

shorty Hope AF hasn't got you yet, how are you feeling today?

collie It sounds like you had a fun weekend too - do you think we ever grow out of kipping on sofas??! Grin

Mouse Hope you are doing ok today Smile

Iggly It's hard when you see babies that would be the same age as your own angels, I often fantasise about what mine might look like, would they be a boy or girl etc but I think that's completely normal.

Hiding Sad to AF arriving, hope you had a nice weekend though despite the inconvenience.

blackkat Is everything ok at home?

ninu & mumtum Good luck if you decide to have anymore POAS action today. I know you said you wouldn't ninu but us addicts are always falling of the wagon Wink

layla I would def just try to dtd as often as possible over the next few days to be on the safe side. OPK sticks haven't been that reliable for everyone but they have helped me this month.

Helloooo to everyone else.

Still BPN from me this morning Sad All the 'symptoms' still there though, had another little episode of pinky brown mucus on wiping yesterday afternoon so not losing all hope yet.

Had a little wobble yesterday. Was cleaning for my nan and she had a 'congratulations on your great great grandaughter' card on the side and I binned a nappy and wrapping paper which had been left in the living room waste bin, my cousin must have been round that morning. I just couldn't help but think that should be me too Sad Anyway, back on track again today.

Consultant said I could continue on Clomid for the next 6-8 months, hoping I won't have to but at least the option is there.

meliesmummy · 08/03/2011 00:30

Yay olis!!!!! enjoy the camping, hope it's not too cold, you are a brave woman!

laylas it's best not to use opks with fmu bcos it's too concentrated, you're better off doing it later in the day a few hours after not drinking anything. It'll prob get darker over the next few days, enjoy!

Chloe hope you are feeling better x

Blackkat hope everythings okay at home x

I'm at work, working with the pg lady due when I was. I was so excited when I found out we'd be going thru it together, but she hasn't even mentioned it, I don't know how I feel about that tbh. I guess she's in a no win situation and prob doesn't know what to say to me but I kind of want some kind of acknowledgement. We aren't exactly best friends but I thought we were friends, now I don't know.

I'm still sort of bleeding cep, it's not like my usual af tho at all, more mucousy and light now. I bought tesco opks, £7 for 7, I know that's mire than online but they work for me.

Anyway, food time! Good night to anyone still up x

brooke89 · 07/03/2011 23:12

WOOOO, fx for you oli

laylasmummy09 · 07/03/2011 23:07
