Let's Embarrass Mears...................

ooh, you asked for this!

I'm always chuffed to bits when I see your opinion on treads.

Your advice is always borne out to be sound, you're unbelievably empathic and compassionate.

What with all your advice about maternity units, BF and looking after newborns, I've moved from resenting my pregnancy (I was determined to terminate) to feeling pretty confidant that DH and I will cope (somehow!) with a baby. grateful is an understatement........

The fact that you have a stressful career in the NHS AND you find time to come on MN and listen to all us neurotic first-timers - I think you'll find that makes you a fabby person.

Sincerely hope you're beetroot now!

I have actually DREAMED about Mears, and asking her questions about my baby.

Same here Marina. When Mears (and pupuce) said I should have a second section I knew I should, and even though I had my own lovely midwife for my second pregnancy, I still felt lots better after mears had seconded her advice about exactly when to have the section. We love you Mears

Me too. I only accepted that a second c-section was the best thing for dd's birth after YOU agreed, Mears...never mind my consultant, his reg and the Head of Delivery Suite's views...you are one in a million and we are so lucky to have you.

Hear hear - Mears's advice is so much better than those other 'Ask the Experts' type articles websites have.

When I thought I was in labour you said it was more likely I was in pre-labour but would probably go into labour within two days - and you were right.

Forgot to say,just before i go to bed (am working in the morning), that the support I have got from mumsnet has really helped me through some difficult personal times. I would also say that the information that I have gained from mumsnet mums has really improved my practice. Thank you all.
