We're TATTC (thinking about TTC!) so this is not urgent! DH has his heart set on a name for a girl, but I'm not 100% sure.
I'm liking Constance at the moment. What do you think?

I love Constance. DH vetoed it.

I know 2 of DD's aged funnily enough (the only 2 I know) so maybe it's just as well.

Maggie is DH's choice? (chokes on late-night herbal tea)

How old is he? That's one name I could never consider

Jamieandhismagictorch · 10/10/2009 00:30

My grandmother's name, and I would have used it if I'd had girls. She died age 97 and was known (affectionately) as Connie the Crab.

Quattrocento · 10/10/2009 00:30

I think it's lovely

TigerBitesAgain · 10/10/2009 00:27

It's got a touch of the suffragette about it. My ex-MIL's name. Had she lived she would now be 98. It's old lady to me.

lovemybabyboy · 10/10/2009 00:23

I like it, Connie is lovely for a little girl but so is Maggie.

Tinfoil · 08/10/2009 23:53

Connie Fisher is the most recent one I've heard of.

TeamEdwardTango · 08/10/2009 23:04

Ok, so now I just need to conceive twin girls so I can use Maggie and Constance.

Any tips?!

I haven't heard it for ages until now on this thread. I really like it.

Classic, unusual (these days) and feminine without being girlie.

pranma · 08/10/2009 22:50

TeamEdwardTango · 08/10/2009 22:03

What is it with these DH's not appreciating a good name?

I quite like Cornelia too. It's a family name.

Patience is lovely, but I'd have to be militant that she was always Patience and never Pat!

Aer Lingus - maybe that's where the irish connection comes in!!!!

Sunshinemummified · 08/10/2009 11:35

The only Constance (Connie) I know got called Miss Lingus by all her male friends. She was German so didn't really get it !

pofacedandproud · 08/10/2009 11:24

Lovely. We liked it but we weren't so keen on Connie.

bellissima · 08/10/2009 11:22

DD1's best friend at nursery in Brussels was a French Constance.
