Girl name after uncle called Peter...

DPs brother died recently, so we were thinking of including a name honouring him in our new baby's name. Up to now she is called Emmeline Christabel, and we want a second middle name for her, but don't really think Petra goes with the other names... Her big sister is called Marianne Catherine Isabella. Any ideas?

He was Peter James, so a variant on James could be a possibility, although then again my ex fiance is called James, so it could be a bit dodgy...

DH's neice is Peta. I think it's a lovely name - simple and strong.

MamaG · 30/09/2009 10:29

Another one who loves Peta

Sunshinemambo · 30/09/2009 10:28

I love the name Peta too and there was a gorgeous Aussie actress with the name in the 80s/90s.

choosyfloosy · 30/09/2009 09:23

Emmeline Christabel Petra is IMO rather lovely. What a nice thought, I love family connections in middle names.

MuffinTopMamma · 30/09/2009 09:21

how about Petra?

simplesusan · 30/09/2009 09:07

Pier sounds good. The others are too masculine to fit in with your other choice of names imo.

diddl · 30/09/2009 09:03

Pier?

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 30/09/2009 07:09

chimchar · 30/09/2009 06:39

i knew a female peta. i love the name on its own!

nooka · 30/09/2009 05:38

I think Peta would work. Petrina? Pierrette? Perrine? Meaning wise, you could try Gemma or Jade (Peter means stone or rock)

For James you could have any of the variations of Jacqueline, Jaime or Jamesina.
