Pomona and Clemency?

Thought I'd throw in some more girls names from our shortlist for you to judge.

Boudica reactions were so mixed.

What do you think of these names and do you know any people with these names.

Pomona? Really unpleasant.

I love Ramona.

I would feel sorry for someone with a name like Clemency. Very heavy sort of name. Bet she'd wish she was called Kate.

Yes Pomona (despite info on Roman god - you learn summat new every day!) doesn't sound like a name. Clemency nice. unless she gets asked for clemency etc etc. like Constance somehow (except different! - no it's the soft, gentle sound).

Funnily enough I rather like Pamela - sort of smart 50s name - but I hate hate hate Pam and Pammie.

Pomona Crisps - used to be made in the Orkney Islands.

Clemency is one of my middle names. I don't have a strong opinion either way (and I think Boudicca is cool ) I think there is a MNetter who is particularly clean on it, s I'm sure she will turn up on this thread. I'm not so keen on Pomona - I see she was the Roman god of fruit trees!

Pomona is a women's college in California. It sounds a bit strange, imo, not quite Pamela, not quite Mona. Clemency is a bit of Clement and a bit of Nancy...tbh not really keen on either. What's your DC1's name?
