I have some fantastic news.....my friend is heavily pregnant and asked me to choose the baby's name. We don't know the sex of the baby. I have a few names for each sex and would be grateful if you could narrow down two favourites, one girls name and one boys name from the lists below.

GIRLS jasmine cassie harriet dionne miranda BOYS
elliot
demetrio
thomas
cody
saul
george

Jayzmummy · 28/05/2005 00:10

I prefer the norm names too - hence a Tafara Yehudi and Tongai Scott

Jayzmummy · 28/05/2005 00:04

Tell me about it...her other children are called
Rainbow = girl
sky = Boy
storm = girl

DH though she would call this baby Shower or Cloud!!!

There are some pretty weird names about. I prefer the norm names and have got a Robert and a Jack, although neither are called by their birth names!!!!

Gwenick · 28/05/2005 00:01

now Fagin is awful!!!

darlingbud · 28/05/2005 00:00

Jayzmumy - that is awful. Poor child. its a shame sometimes that chldren have to rely on parents for naming them!!

OliviaGrace · 27/05/2005 23:59

I think Matthew and Christopher

pmsl @ Fagin!!! Poor thing!!!

sorry I like old names and names that will suit any generation of person.

But names ALWAYS change through the generations - at the moment there's lots of eldery Betty's, Alberts, Charles, Godfrey, George etc etc

When we're older names such as Tracy, Susanah, Johns, Williams etc will be common

And when our children are older other names will be 'common'.........

If you get my drift.

Jayzmummy · 27/05/2005 23:57

Friend has just called her new baby boy FAGIN!!!! everytime I look at him I want to burst in to song....."gotta pick a pocket or twooooooo....you gotta pick a pocket or two"!!!!!!!

darlingbud · 27/05/2005 23:57

I know and I'm not keen on them either but it is my personal opinion which is what was asked for.

Gwenick · 27/05/2005 23:51

some of them may be lovely for little babies but I just can't imagine a 70 year old woman called Jasmine or a pensioner called Codie.

Well in 70yrs time there's going to be lots of 'strange' names pensioners - Storm, Charonnay, Chelsea etc etc

OliviaGrace · 27/05/2005 23:51

Lol, but ppl have kids called jasmine and cosy and they're gonna grow old!!! What are all your children called? Give me some inspiration plz.
