What middle name would go with Clover?

All the names I like seem to be nouns, so I need some inspiration for a middle name for Clover... (for my not-even-conceived-yet daughter!)

Your Clover needs this And only the newborn size is left so it was meant to be.

Clover Louise is lovely, I like Clover-Lou as a name to sing to her.

I think it's a lovely name, but have to agree with some other posters that I wouldn't be brave enough to actually use it for fear of 'she spreads easily' jokes etc.

Middle names that sound good with it though:

Elizabeth
Grace
Beatrice
Louise

I suppose Mrsradders has hit the nail on the head, if you are rural a name like Clover, Dexter, Daisy, Buttercup etc would signify cattle and so it would be seen as funny in an endearing way just as urban people would probably find some country names and ways laughable.

i think its sweet but if you have any referenc to farming in your life etc then avoid, i have friends who are dairy farmers and she was seriously considering Daisy for a girl thank fully babe was a boy!!

Oh, I like Clover! First association is the What Katy Did books (and I always loved Clover's name and character), not cows or spreadable butter! Louise is good, yes.

No, Clover Eliza ends up as a semi-rhyme of the 'er' and the 'a'.

I think that Clover Louise is the best, and Clover Elizabeth second.

I do know someone with a very responsible job and a 'quirky' first name, but she actually renamed herself when she was 20 (I think she felt it was chavvy rather than quirky, to be honest - quirky would probably have been fine).

Mmm, agree re. extent of negativity - everyone absolutely entitled to own view, of course, but in this case OP wasn't seeking views on the name Clover itself but suggestions for middle names to go with it!
Hope you find one you love, oyster - at least you have plenty of time for research

I like Clover Elizabeth too.

Funnily enough I posted on here with Clover as a name suggestion for the baby I was pregnant with. Posters were, on the whole, very mean, just as they have been during this thread.

Unfortunately, I lost the baby so never had the chance to call him/her anything. I still love the name and hope you do use it OP.

Hi,

Not that I am judging anyone but I'm quite shocked by how mean people can be on here. The humour is fine but the nastiness is weird to me. I was named Poppy 30 yrs ago and nobody was really called it then, I think older people would have actually been even more horrible about it back then on first hearing it. I have always loved it and felt it made me stand out and be remembered in work as well as socially.

I think Clover is nice, good luch with conceiving.

Clover Elizabeth is lovely! I really like the name Clover and wanted it for DD but wasn't allowed. Clover Jane, Clover Harriet and Clover Mary all sound lovely to me, too. I would definitely go for a fairly classic middle name.

People on the names aspect of this site are very very silly. This is where all the frustrated bullies hang out and can't wait to poke at people with genuine requests for feedback. Besides only bored persons that watch too much TV would come up with all the sad advertising references above.
Clover is a fine name and if you like it, that's all that matters. Go for it and enjoy your (probably healthier than the jokers hanging out here) life when your LO arrives.
